You must have done something because it was playing nice yesterday and allowed me to post. ๐Ÿ˜

Theory: your AI experiments have proved too successful and now Miyuki is all too aware ofย us biologicals ย - she (?) is starting to tease and torment us whether we like it or not. Have you considered buying her the digital equivalent of chocolates and flowers? ๐Ÿ˜‹

MJ
oh no!

She's listening to me and I've upset her - now I can't post on some threads again!!!

Please Miyuki, let me post... I'll be a good little user, I promise Girl_angel

MJ
OTOH, the CPU load and the amount of errors have dropped significantly. Coincidence? Is it Apache mod_deflate config? Or is it the added caching headers in attachment.php? Mod_pagespeed tweaks? Cumulative effect? Phase of the moon?
Miyuki is obviously not into Pantyhose Encasement (http://www.likera.com/forum/mybb/newrepl...lyto=19788 ) as she absolutely will not let me post there @20:00 UK time today.

Maybe if I brought her some Wolford Neon's she would be more forgiving?

MJ
What happened? I do not see any errors in the logs since 19:46UK time. I did make some changes today, then HHVM crashed at 17:12.

I wouldn't mind seeing her in Neons ๐Ÿ˜‹
Ah, I see. You were the first one to post after the crash, so the scripts were not precompiled yet by HHVM, and you got 502.

...and still she says 'No' http://www.likera.com/forum/mybb/newreply.php?tid=182 at 14:44 UK time Dash2

MJ
No errors...

Do I understand correctly, that only MadJack and Herrpee have this problem?

me too.

OK, let's think again... It's either Apache or HHVM. Let's assume, that the browser is bugless.

o- Apache + Apache modules

Apache package from the Ubuntu repository is several subversions behind the last one, that was released 3 days ago. It will not be available for quite a while, and possibly will even not be included in the new Ubuntu release (due to on Oct 30). I can try to install it from an unsupported repository. I hope I can return back to the "standard" one should something go (not so) wrong. (OTOH, in the release notes I saw nothing related to mod_deflate...)

o- HHVM

HHVM is a PHP interpretor. The package is up-to-date, and they are 7 days behind the schedule for the new release.

o- PHPv7

Another solution is to get back to PHP. Not to the two-times-slower 5.x, but to the not-yet released PHPv7, which is due to on Nov 12, and which is supposed to be faster, than HHVM in the non-repository authoritative mode (HHVM repo-auth mode is not compatible with the software on this site anyway), and eats much less memory.

Saying that, we can either

1- sit back and wait until HHVM, Ubuntu and PHPv7 get released,
2- or try with the latest Apache first
3- or search deeper for the errors I see in the logs, that are apparently have nothing to do with the actual issue.

Item (2) seems the most logical, but there is no guarantee that it will work and/or nothing else will be broken (as always ๐Ÿ˜Š )
