I thought we agreed that non-consensual triggering was bad when you use triggers on purpose. They knew they were using a trigger phrase as a sub name, they knew what that trigger was associated with, they could have chosen another name that wasn't a trigger, like "disneydeerhypnosis", but they chose to use a known trigger phrase anyway.

Think of all the victims who were lured to that sub and triggered without their consent!

Also think of the poor innocent souls who come to the sub looking for help, trying to quit, only to be triggered and relapse instead, all because of the trigger in the name and all around the sub, don't forget the name Bambi itself is a trigger.

You're splitting hairs.

Someone "trying" to quit and putting themselves into that position is not actually trying to quit.

Lots of people are dismissive of the effects of BS, but I think that there's still responsibility on both sides of the fence, the person listening and participating in the hypnosis, and for the people wanting to be "doms" or interact with someone under the spell. No Bambi should go into the hypnosis poorly informed or without some kind of safety rope for themselves, and no person interacting with a Bambi should seek to push things into an abusive territory especially when the Bambi or OS has requested they not do this.  💓 💓 💓
Yeah. Exactly.

Learn to distinguish between intent and consent. That said... PLONK.

So you're saying that if i want to stop listening and not be triggered, i can just avoid visiting that particular sub? Like close the tab and ignore/forget it and not be triggered?

I'm saying that if you're trying to stop listening and not be triggered, then going to a subreddit that you know has a title that will trigger you is like drinking from a cup you saw someone spike with a date rape drug.

This is vastly different from being in an active conversation with someone and unexpectedly being triggered. You know it'll happen if you go to the sub; that's your own fault. You don't know it'll happen if you're just chatting with someone, because a lot of people expect others to have basic human decency.

If we are talking about that specific conversation, than, again, it was not just a usual chat. It was specifically a role-playing chat between a "Bambi" and a "Daddy", and in such chats triggering are expected.
What are you all arguing about? Warnings about damage caused by alcohol and tobacco are everywhere, and everybody is aware of the consequences. Yet both are shown and sold everywhere, and you can see people using them, you can see labels and trademarks, and nobody makes a scene accusing supermarkets for triggering them. And pub visitors do not squeal about someone offering them a ciggy or a glass of beer.

Depends on the context of how that conversation came about. The Bambi Sleep subreddit places massive importance on agreeing things before triggers (they'll have your guts for garters if you trigger in any channel on the discord other than the specified trigger channel). They seem to use that standard particularly for weeding out Doms - i.e. if a Dom can't contain themselves to gain consent before triggering, run a mile. So it is an important thing for them, and triggers right out the gate are unexpected.

The strong reaction in the image is because they think that Sam Henry is seeking out those who will react to triggers to get hooks in before boundaries have been agreed. They don't have the context to know that that's not the case.

(All feels a bit overdramatic to me anyway, as even a non-roleplayer probably wouldn't react to them being done so unsubtly? Like how you probably wouldn't react to an aural trigger in a file that said "oi mate yer a good girl, righ' luv?" alongside a trumpet noise.)
(Please feel free to move if it doesn’t belong here)

I have this idea for a VR hypno game and was wondering if someone more knowledgeable than me could tell me if it sounds feasible to create, potentially with a team of other smart Bambis.

The main idea behind it is to have the body of a bimbo when you look down/ in a mirror at yourself. I haven’t even found any vr porn that is shot from a female perspective & im unsure why that is. The “game” would start with you walking into a large reception area, getting taken to an elevator with mirrored walls so as you descend you can admire your body. Upon exiting there’s a long hospital style hallway with many doors, each door has a different scene. One would be a viewing room of Bambi TikTok’s, another would be the brain drain machine, maybe a hospital style operating room where you get implants. The milking room from Restrained & Milked for sure. Files always playing in the background, lots of other Bambis walking around guiding you.

I’m figuring it could be hosted on a private website & accessed similar to how other vr experiences are. AI could be used to generate a lot of the 3d world?

Would creating something like this be illegal? Would using the files be a copywrite issue? Would it take a ton of money and time?

Anyway, I’d appreciate any feedback & if nothing else I hope you liked the fantasy I portrayed! (I’ve been playing with this fantasy for years now as a sort of real life bambi hotel but don’t think I’ll ever be able to build such a place)

Yep, still this is the only way to check if the triggers are working. By trying to trigger out of the context and out of the consent. Might be considered unethical by some, just like faking might be considered unethical by others.

A side note: ethics is not real, it's absolutely artificial, constantly changing, it depends on the context, society, religion, age, time, space, political agenda, memes, history, etc... Ethics can be radically different 1 meter, 1 second or 1 click away.

Ethics is one of those empty words like "love", and must be replaced with "social agreements", or , like the word "love", it should be replaced with verbs ("when I love someone, I do this, this and this).
