French maids are often depicted wearing extremely high heels or bound, what (logically thinking) would affect their ability to perform their duties. In some cases high heels do help (squatting, for example, is easier if you are wearing heels), but bondage never helps much (only one exception comes to my mind – a proper gag decreases the amount of noise).

If maids do not perform (how can you perform if your hands are bound?) they are punished. The punishment usually includes more bondage and tight fetish clothes (corsets, latex, hoods), what further diminishes the maids performance.

This is what Wiki says about “maids”:

A maidservant or in current usage maid is a female employed in domestic service. Maids perform typical domestic chores such as cooking, ironing, washing, cleaning the house, grocery shopping, walking the family dog, and taking care of children.

Many maids are required by their employers to wear a uniform.

A bit more about the uniform:

French maid refers to a strongly modified style of servant’s dress that evolved from typical maids’ black and white afternoon uniforms of the nineteenth century (and their later use by stereotypical characters in risqué burlesque dramas of the bedroom farce variety). The designs of the French maid dress can range widely from a conservative look to very revealing. It is now often associated with cosplay, sexual roleplaying, and fetishism. Depending on design details, some forms can be classified as lingerie.

I would add that French maid uniform looks very similar to the old Soviet school uniform. (See this post and this) No wonder that the latter has also formed a strong fetish.

A nice addition to the single-glove discussion started here.

This glove (can be found here, or in this shop) has laces instead of a zipper. What is much better because it can be easily tightened (by pulling the laces) and possibly (needs testing!) taken off by pulling the sides apart, by cutting the laces (easily replaceable) or … as I said, needs testing. Not sure if the leg straps can be useful.

Unlike a standard single-glove (or monoglove) this one is much more restrictive but much more comfortable (it does not cut off blood).

Ideas? Thoughts? Drop a line here or in this forum thread.

John Willie in his “The Adventures of Sweet Gwendoline” suggested a single-glove training to achieve a good posture (see below).

This pink satin monoglove would perfectly match a girly clothing. Something for our children? ;-P

Just like I tell my daughter from time to time: “If I notice you standing like this, I’ll bind your elbows together!”. Kidding, of course, but in every joke there is a bit of a joke ;-)

Apparently single-gloves can be used in self-bondage. The ideas are swarming in the air. Many thanks to Strappado, who invested money, time and efforts into the investigation. His notes made me also think about various possibilities.

And as a result – I’m going to buy a single-glove. I need one within 10 days and I do not want to spend a fortune on it. So, eBay is a natural first choice here. See here what’s available.

Being exhausted after the previous night (see post 1 and post 2) I did not plan for anything serious. Actually, I was going to postpone any self-bondage activity for a day and sleep off.

Just found this picture showing one of the “most dreamed about” scenario: self-bondage in single-glove.

I still can’t find any safe ways of doing that. The method pictured on the left is the most dangerous one. Don’t try that at home alone!

Leather catsuits, latex hoods, bondage in a single-glove (or monoglove) strappado, Madonna chained to a chair, high-heels, what a list, eh? “Express yourself, don’t repress yourself” is the motto and the main idea of the song. The bondage itself and bondage symbols are used in the video as an allegory of “repressing”, when someone is not only allowed to live the life he/she wanted to live, but even prohibited to make any attempts of “expressing” his or her thoughts:

I didn’t know I couldn’t talk about … etc…

So, no, the video is not a bondage or fetish propaganda, quite the contrary :-)

I’ve been thinking about this suit since many years ago, but still have not decided if I indeed am ready to spend money (quite a lot, by the way) on it. The idea is to use it alone for self-bondage. Not sure if it’s possible, though.

On the other hand, putting the suit on should not be much more difficult then the pantyhose single-glove method. The belts can be used if bound by a partner.

This is a description:
