… I was thinking about taking a bus to the city center, so I would not have a chance to hide my legs in pantyhose. It’s quite easy to jump in on an empty bus stop and spend the whole trip unnoticed. But then you have to get out, get to another stop, wait for the bus, get in. And all on the full view! Very self-bondage like, when there is no way back…

No, I never dared. My next big step was during our summer vacation. I put on very transparent suntan pantyhose, shorts, sneakers, a t-shirt and we (my wife and I) went for a short walk. It was twilight, the pantyhose were almost invisible, but when I noticed someone walking behind me, I pretended that I was busy with my shoe-lace. Yeah, chicken… But next evening I was more brave.

You can’t get rid off the outer bondage without conflicts with the society or even with the law. You can only change it. By changing the society, geographical location, the club or your partner. Again, see Paraphilias, sexual fetishes, normality, deviations and men vs women. But you can diminish the influence of the inner one, but this is not an easy task.

Just like it’s not easy to do a back flip when you can do a simple somersault. Or relax when all your life you have been learning (actually taught) how to tense and strain. It’s a long step-for-step process.

The inner bondage can be (and usually is) stricter than the outer one. A couple of examples.

A typical example is:”What will they say?” or “Nobody does this!”.

“I can’t wear it! What will my friends say?”, “I can’t pull up my jeans, everybody wear them under buttocks”, “I can’t wear these watches to the office. They are too expensive. What will others say?”

“I can’t wear these tight briefs (e.g. so called “speedos”) to the beach. Everybody wears wet buggy shorts sticking to legs and full with sand. What will other say?” Let alone wearing a one-piece swimsuit to the beach or pantyhose in public ….

The outer bondage does not prevent you from doing this. Most likely nobody notices or cares. But your inner bondage is always on guard. “I can’t go to the supermarket without make-up!”… Oh my…

Third point – breaking out of bondage. Not literally in this case. We are born as absolutely free creatures. Kids have virtually no limits or restrictions, they are immortal. But with time the parents, the relatives and society do their work of limiting the freedom:

“Do not shout”, “stop crying”, “do not touch yourself there”, “you must/must not wear these clothes”, “boys do not do this”, “you must …”, “you must not …”, “you are not allowed to …”, “you are too young to …”, etc. Some of them are necessary to successfully co-exist and survive, some are unreasonable, some are simply ridiculous. And as a whole they create the “outer bondage”.

Now to the second point. One of my favourite sayings is “Beware of your own desires, because they come true”. Yes, they do. If you correctly wish something it will eventually happen. Under correctly I mean your intention, visualization and preparations (in advance).

Kaoru not only dreamed about or visualized Nana in bondage, he bought a suit that should fit Nana perfectly. And suddenly she appeared inside that suit! I would say, that the suit captured and brought Nana to Kaoru (pan intended 😉

In My (Perverted|Perversive) Opinion

The abbreviation “IMHO” (In My Humble Opinion) covers only a part of cases when the writer/speaker expresses his own point of view, which may not correspond to the opinion of “general public”. In the What style of costumes for Halloween? forum thread using IMHO did not “suit” the situation.

Thus a new term was born: IMPO – In My Perverted (or Perversive) Opinion.

In the 90’s the most interesting images could be found in NNTP (News or USENET) groups (alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.bondage, alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.pantyhose, etc.) You did not need a web-server, just “uuencode” an image, split the result by 30KB, and post the pieces by mail with subjects like “bondage-life-latex-234.jpg [1/5]”, “bondage-life-latex-234.jpg [2/5]”, etc. I wrote a shell script to do that automatically.

To download an image you needed a news-reader (I used “tin” – ASCII mode only, no frills). You would download all the pieces (remember, there were no previews, so you had to rely on the descriptions, for example, “bound and gagged girl dresses in latex – Bondage Life magazine scan”). Then strip the headers and concatenate all parts together in the proper sequence, then “uudecode” to get the original binary file. Some files were corrupted, what meant lost time, lost hope and anticipation transformed into disappointment and frustration.

Vintage bondage and vintage fetish. Smell of Quelle, latex of Kunzmann and bondage of Kastley

Let’s go back in time a bit further then Vintage bondage and vintage fetish. Sean Harper. Part I. First Internet access – to the 80’s. I was a kid and there was no Internet, there were no on-line shops, and for mail delivery we had to use thick mail-order catalogues, like Sears in the US or Quelle in Europe. We never had Sears, but I vividly remember Quelle – hundreds of hair thin pages and … smell … Any printed material has its own smell (or stink ;-), so had Quelle catalogues.

Of course I liked to browse through the colourful pages, but the first chapter I usually began with was lingerie. I was fascinated with photos of girls, women, boys and men in pantyhose or swimsuits. And I still remember the moment I noticed teenagers in a catsuit- or hoodless zentai-like pyjamas. I was already hooked to pantyhose and swimsuits, but it was something new I would like to be tied up in.

Vintage bondage and vintage fetish. Sean Harper. Part I. First Internet access

My first access to the Internet I got in the early nineties. Very slow, very unreliable and only in the office. As for many it was a revelation:”Hey! I’m not the only one who loves to wear pantyhose!”, “Hey, I’m not the only one who loves to be tied up!”, “Hey! I’m not the only one who loves bondage while wearing pantyhose, swimsuits, etc!”. Familiar, isn’t it?

I was spending hours a (business) day searching for various fetish and bondage materials on the Internet. ASCII mail lists, USENET groups, FTP servers – I was thoroughly checking almost everything (except FIDO). I could not part with some images and after everybody had disappeared I would print out dozens of pics and stories on a black&white laser printer. I still have several kilos of old printouts, I simply can’t throw them away! They became part of my life. They remind me of the time (hey! almost 20 years ago), of the excitement, of the wishes (I only started collecting fetish and bondage stuff)… And Hey! I was 20 years younger! ;-P
