Another dressing-up experiment

During the New Year photo session at least two things became clear: the skirt is a bit too small, I need something to wear above the skirt.

The first problem was fixed on the next day – in the same “Lidl” we bought 3 more skirts and the last pair of leather look leggings. All for both my wife and myself. The second issue is familiar to all women (“I haven’t got anything to wear tonight!!! And there was nothing in the shops!!!”) My precious patient wife managed to find me one blouse (I tried quite a few glittering, boring and weird “tops”, but none of them looked “appropriate”). On my own I tried one leather-look mini-skirt and latex-look leggings, but without an approving “nod” from my SO I did not want to buy anything. (Hey, she’s my ultimate fashion&design&aesthetics expert!). It has to wait for next Saturday.

My best New Year night

shiny pantyhose fishnets mini-skirtThe easiest way to begin would be a phrase:”I never liked skirts” (see, for example, this post), though it wouldn’t be correct. I always liked skirts and dresses on girls, because most likely they would wear pantyhose with them. But last years I most certainly would say that I prefer tight mini shorts to any tight mini skirts. Also on myself.

Personally, I happened to wear skirts only several times in my life. A couple of times when I was a kid (around 12-13yo) – I was playing with my mom’s clothes (skirt, tights, high-heeled boots, etc), then when I was 16 in a camp, when we had “the best housewife (or hausfrau) contest” among three boys in a heavy make-up (I hate make-up since then, but this is another story). Then when I bought a latex dress and a latex mini skirt (quickly “destroyed” by my wife, when she tried to put it on :D). The latex mini-dress was the only “skirt-like” construction I used to wear “by my own initiative”. Also I wore it during Europerve parties in Amsterdam. There are some photos elsewhere here on the site.

Men in tights. One step further. Part II

Found another photo of this guy in pantyhose, mini skirt and high heels (thanks to Biflex).

Actually, it confirms my idea of “good looking”: if you are in a good shape, it does not matter what you are wearing.

See also Men in pantyhose forum thread (the most popular forum thread).

Pantyhose, shorts, mini-skirts or back to the 70s. Part III

See Part I and Part II.

70’s… Short, very short, ultra super mini skirts and tight shorts (even men were wearing tight jeans mini-shorts!). No bare legs – pantyhose were worn always and everywhere, a must have clothing attribute.

The first bodystockings and catsuits (look at the photo of Amanda Lear below!).

Lots of different patterned, white and off-white pantyhose. Not many coloured ones, though. Probably it’s the colour and the tightness of the shorts what make the current fashion different.

Did you notice anything? On the streets? See also:

Men in tights. One step further

man in pantyhose high heels and mini skirtSince wearing pantyhose is way too usual nowadays and does not change the “street view” too much unless the pantyhose are way too unusual (pun intended), wearing a mini skirt and high heels is a definite step further.

If you ask me, I think the guy looks OK, I like the style. Most important, he looks neither like a transvestite nor like a woman. Actually, nor like a guy in women’s clothes.

You know what? That would not change the “street view” either šŸ˜‰

Thanks to porter.

Latex, fishnets, high heelsā€¦ Everyday classics. Part IV

latex skirt fishnet pantyhose office styleContinuation of the story (see Part I, Part II, Part III).

The more I look on these pictures, the more usual or “everyday” the latex looks. Indeed, the style is pretty formal, the latex is not too tight, the clothes is not “revealing”, the shine is not bold. Of course, you can make latex shine as black mirror, but in this case (we are talking about the office style) this is not the goal. The idea is to make it look like leather or heavy silk.

Hm… Interesting idea is to compare latex to leather, PVC and coated lycra.

See Part I and Part II

Let’s continue the latex + pantyhose + high-heels office style theme. Suddenly, I caught myself thinking about:”I wonder what I would look like or feel in these clothes…”. (Actually, this is one of my most important criteria on rating such materials šŸ˜‰

Anyway, what would you feel if you had a coworker (let’s simplify the situation and think about women) dressed like the girl on the photos? Would you be able to carry on with your work? Would you get used to it after, say, two months?

Latex, fishnets, high heelsā€¦ Everyday classics. Part II

latex business suit fishnet pantyhose high heelsApparently in Part I I made a correct assumption, that latex will eventually make its way into the ordinary vanilla life. Latex can be worn with fur and it’s even being “promoted” as children’s clothing (see this post). Yes, yes, it’s said with a tongue firmly in my cheek, but again and again – you never know.

Look at the pictures below. Would you like to see such a receptionist? Latex, mini skirt, fishnets, high heels but still within the business dress code šŸ˜‰

Latex, fishnets, high heels… Everyday classics. Part I

Looking at the current fashion shows I wonder when latex will make its way into the everyday wardrobe and office clothes.

Unlike many fashion creations The pictures below look pretty normal (ordinary? usual? nothing pervy? classic?) to me. Classic suit, classic mini skirt, classic high heels, classic white shirt, classic tie, classic ponytail. Probably it’s the lycra gloves what makes the images stand out of normal Russian clothing style?
