They wear pantyhose in Miami, Florida. Part II

Erika in mini dress and black opaque pantyhoseSee Part I

Anybody here from Miami? How often do you see girls wearing tights and mini skirts or mini dresses NOT on parties or discos? 😉

This is what Erika (the owner of Fashion Chalet) wrote: “I breathe and dream in fashion. … according to my mood and inspiration” As a result she has (let me count) 2093 followers (what makes her a fashion leader 😉 and number 9 in top100 fashion sites.

Latex, ready-to-wear, spring 2007 and Stærk

Latex fashion ready to wear StarkUnlike Husseyn Chalayan you won’t find latex stockings here. Instead, Camilla Stærk used latex for tanks.

Even though I did latex in innocent and bright colors, there’s something naughty about it.

I would say not “naughtier” than a school uniform. It’s all in your mind 😉

And there is something for us men as well. If you like latex, you can wear a latex t-shirt or latex shirt under your regular clothes so that the collar is visible. See, for example, my swimsuit style. You can choose any colour, transparency and finish. You can make it either dull or shiny. It will look perfectly normal, and I bet not many people will even notice the “naughty material”.

Been there done that. Nobody cares. But be aware of sweat.

Ready-to-wear latex, fashion and Hussein Chalayan

Hussein Chalayan latex dressesThis guy is fantastic. He uses latex very smartly. But if in one of his previous collections latex stockings could be theoretically replaced with metallic lycra ones, no other material can replace molded latex in Hussein’s Spring Summer 2009 pret-a-porte. It’s just not possible. Only rubber can be used to create these aerodynamic dresses. Moreover, latex is pretty invisible here, it looks like fabric (hand-painted with images of crashed cars), it looks like thin light airy material despite the heavy boning and centimeters thick layers. No shine. Latex as the media not as the goal.

Latex, Pret-a-Porte (Ready-to-Wear) and Hussein Chalayan- part 1

Haute couture and heavy rubber have definitely something in common. At least one thing – no relation to the everyday life. The percentage of the exceptions are far outside of the (Gaussian) standard deviation (pun intended 🙂

In other words, how can you introduce latex into your street, office, casual, evening clothes? Let’s ask professionals!

In his fall 2007 collection Hussein Chalayan showed that latex stockings and latex leggings can be worn with pretty much everything and look neither pervy nor freaky. The models were wearing the latex garment made by Atsuko Kudo throughout the whole show. Notice the absence of ugly folds you can find on cheap stuff many people complain about. If you want to wear latex in public – look for quality. The downside is – the quality is expensive.

See 46 photo and a video below.

Pret-a-porte, Fetish Fashion and Gareth Pugh

g-pugh-02Graphic figures clad in tight latex, lycra, high heels and latex hoods. Who can that be? It’s Gareth Pugh again. I have finally found the video from Gareth’s fashion show!

Despite anything, the collection looks quite wearable. At least I would wear that!

The proper clothes or pin-up of the 30-60’s. Part I

pin-up-05Pin-up… What is pin-up actually? Pin-up means different things for different people. The original meaning is a picture for pinning up on a wall. The first pin-ups appeared around 1890, though the term was first attested in 1941.

A bit provocative, mostly women, always pretty and cheerful. Pop culture, kitsch, addressed for the masses, it should be real on one hand but exaggerated or accented on the other. 100% sexually attractive and innocent at the same time, so you would not be able to do anything with the pictured girl should she appear in the real life. How can you touch that naive charming beauty? The only thing you can do is to gallantly help or rescue her since the naive beauties always get into troubles.

… BTW, the women were indeed wearing stockings with seams and high heels… Every day… Everywhere …

Everyday life Bondage but without Dominance, Submission and Masochism

Girl with bound elbowsIs it possible, you might ask? I’ve already mentioned, that from BDSM I accept only the “B”. I do not like pain, I do not want to be humiliated, punished or dominated, I do not like role playing. Just comfortable sensual bondage and fetish clothes.

Bondage or fetish clothing in public? Yes! Not because I’m an exhibitionist, but because of the same reason – I like it. If there was nobody outside my home I would go out bound and gagged, clad in latex, zentai and high-heels. Just what I sometimes wear at home, where nobody can see me.

Margo Stilley and pantyhose

Margo Stilley in pantyhose and high heels

Nice legs, nice short skirt, nice coat, nice black sheer a bit shimmering pantyhose, nice high (I would say unusually high) heels. Very feminine, very sexy, on a fetishy side but still classic style. I like it.

But now look at the last two photos…
