What is your street latex style?

$latex dress public shopping$ This is how Honeyhair goes shopping. It seems that not many people can recognize latex and distinguish it from any other materials. This is what she wrote:

Bought some new clothes, tried shoes and got a compliment from a shop assistant what a lovely dress I am wearing 🙂 I think she thought it’s some kind of leather because she showed me their leather collection then

So if you are still hesitating “to wear or not to wear” latex in public – relax and do wear. Just as with men in pantyhose: nobody notices, nobody cares.

Katy Perry in latex in Volkswagen Jetta promotion

$Katy Perry latex dress New York Times Square$ On June 15 while promoting Volkswagen’s Jetta compact sedan at Times Square in New York, Katy Perry was wearing another mini latex dress made by Abigail Greydanus (from Syren).

Nice fit. Nice matching shoes and make-up. But still I miss pantyhose or stockings.

These things happen, demotivators again or Lady GaGa and her weird shoes

Unfortunately these things happen from time to time. Even top sporters can fall during a casual walk, let alone “usual” celebrities wearing such extravagant shoes (made by Noritaka Tatehana, by the way).

High heels are dangerous, but high platforms are even more dangerous. I’ve read many stories about falling on the stage, but since Lady Gaga wears the same kind of clothes (thank her for that pleasure) literally everywhere, the probability of an accident is growing up with every “casual walk”.

Katy Perry in latex on James Corden’s World Cup show

On James Corden’s World Cup show (see the video below) Katy Perry was wearing (yes! again!) a custom made latex dress.

As always, media called it “a figure hugging PVC dress”. Do they have a taboo on words like “latex” and “rubber”?

Fashion trends or men in pantyhose and … something on their heads…

The author of this collection, a German designer Peter Holzinger from Superated, told in an interview that he considers pantyhose as a usual piece of unisex clothes. The first “men in pantyhose” fashion look I find acceptable.

How to dress up for a formal swimming pool party

Imagine that you are invited on a formal party/event with a swimming pool. What to wear? Here’s an answer.

Latex gloves, transparent latex stockings with back seams, latex swimsuit and, of course, high heels. This outfit would look much more formal and elegant than, say, a flowery swimsuit with a pareo.

And latex does not get wet. You will not leave wet spots after swimming – a towel will make your clothes dry in a dozen of seconds.

Do not confuse leather with latex, heel-less shoes or Lady Gaga at JFK

The guys behind the Dutch “Algemeen Dagblad” (ad.nl) do not only ignore latex, they simply do not do the home work properly. Being patriots (Jan Jansen is a Dutch designer) is not a bad thing at all, but publishing wrong information is at least not professional.

Now the correct info. Lady Gaga is wearing Noritaka Tatehana shoes from the Artisan 2010 collection and men’s rubber singlet made by a British company Void of Course. Bag by Hermes modified by Haus of Gaga.

Alina Stalina. Khokhloma latex dress, kids’ fetish dreams, and random thoughts. Updated.

Must confess, I’ve never been a fan of Alina Stalina (Алина Сталина, aka Perfect Pervert). I’ve never met her in person but did argue with her many times on one of the latex forums. No wonder, though, I think she was 15 at the time and our “points of view” differed a bit… But one thing we definitely have in common – love to fetish clothes, especially latex.

Must admit, she works with fantastic photographers, stylists, fetish clothes designers, and moreover, she’s a really good model. And the results are nothing short of stunning. (Here’s an example: a photo set in a latex dress with painted Khokhloma patterns.)
