I think without Photoshop latex will not give you that smooth and wrinkleless “second skin”. And let’s not mention durability, cost, comfort, etc …
Still like latex, though… ;-P

Mélissa Theuriau – the most beautiful news anchor in shiny pantyhose.
Must confess, I do not watch TV, so probably I’m the last fetishist on the Earth who has *just* seen the famous (as it appeared) video “Green Light“. After collecting my jaw from the floor I rushed to my computer and made a furious attempt to find any information on the video. Guess what? The Internet is full of crap (didn’t I know that in advance?). Nothing. NOTHING! So, I had to guess.
First of all I found the video itself (see “More”) and how it was made:
This is the original video:

1995. Leather catsuits, latex hoods, bondage in a single-glove (or monoglove) strappado, Madonna chained to a chair, high-heels, what a list, eh? “Express yourself, don’t repress yourself” is the motto and the main idea of the song. The bondage itself and bondage symbols are used in the video as an allegory of “repressing”, when someone is not only allowed to live the life he/she wanted to live, but even prohibited to make any attempts of “expressing” his or her thoughts:
You wouldn’t let me say the words I longed to say
You punished me for telling you…
I didn’t know I couldn’t speak my mind
I didn’t know I couldn’t talk about … etc…
So, no, the video is not a bondage or fetish propaganda, quite the contrary 🙂

The stills from the video you can see here. Just like Robert Palmer’s”Addicted to Love” this video was directed by a professional fashion photographer. Jean-Baptiste Mondino was inspired by his photo session with Nadja Auermann:

Madonna and “Human Nature””
If you want to know why inhabitants of Utrecht voted for closed shops on Sundays, you have to visit the center of the city twice: on Saturday and on Sunday.
It was Sunday yesterday. (Hm… Yesterday indeed … It’s 2AM at the moment…. 😉 +20, sunny, moderate wind, dark blue sky with white clouds, and almost empty streets. I accompanied my son to his classmate’s birthday on a bicycle. Not because he couldn’t ride there alone, but just for the “gezelligheid” (untranslatable Dutch word meaning simultaneously cosiness, snugness, comfort, companionableness, conviviality etc). I did not want to discredit my son in front of his mates and their parents (if any of them are waiting outside), so I was wearing pretty conservative Oroblu Dolce Vita 15 pantyhose with capri. Dolce Vita tights are pretty invisible (ok, ok, if you don’t stare at the legs, of course) even under the direct sun light but with a slight shimmer.

The person on the left (the one with Canon 5D) is wearing shiny Oroblu Style 15 pantyhose. Guess, did anybody notice?
The photo was taken in the centre of Rotterdam by my sister-in-law while I was taking a photo of her taking photo of me ;-D
Oroblu Style 15 pantyhose have a well pronounced “glassy” shine. Visible? Under the direct light? You bet 😉
Unlike our expectations the weather in NL this fall is a bit colder, so I was wearing dark gray long trousers, dark gray sneakers, dark blue t-shirt, very dark green fleece jacket and dark gray Wolford 15 pantyhose. “15” is both a name and a thickness. Typical Wolford. Very comfortable no-looker. Perfect fit, perfect comfort, almost opaque despite famous “15 den appearance”, questionable colour. But OK to wear under trousers without socks. I bought them at 50% discount, btw. The original price (20€) is ridiculously high in my opinion.
Our goal was a shoe shop “Taft” located in one of the most crowded shopping streets of A’dam. My wife is obsessed with an idea to buy me a new pair of high-heels and Taft is the only shop (we know of) in NL where you can buy good quality wearable 4.5-5.5″ heels.
With a great surprise I discovered that shorts with pantyhose (tights, stockings, leggings, whatever) combination is thought by some (many?) people as strictly prohibited by the fashion canons. Does fashion have canons, actually? I doubt it. Probably caNNons, but not caNons 🙂 It wouldn’t be fashion if it was so conservative (“You can’t do this!, because … errrm…. Because nobody does this!) and lacked innovations.
There is no difference between shorts and skirts of the same length and made out of the same material. (I think shorts are more convenient). But there are people who fight for the right to wear shorts with pantyhose. And no, I don’t mean men (NB: Though it also looks ridiculous – nobody prevents men wearing shorts with pantyhose except themselves, but that’s another story).
Two examples (back to women): Continue reading “Shorts with tights”
