Still using talcum powder to put on your latex garment? See what you are missing!
One of the things I love about latex is how easily it slides and glides against your body. What is your favourite lubricant? I almost always use J-lube.

See Part I
As I promised in the first part, I published my favourite drawing (along with 30 more below). The drawing on the left was the first Trevor’s work I’ve ever seen. And I was immediately bought by this fantastically cute, aesthetic, harmonic and surprisingly realistic combination of things (like bondage, innocence, latex, teddy bear, young girl, etc) never ever combinable in the real world. I immediately fell in love with this picture and started my investigation towards the origin.

Some consider chess is a boring wasting of time. And definitely not a sport. However, it’s not quite true. You just need to Spice it Up like the guys and gals did in Montreal.
But like in the first part, I would add some bondage fun (evil smile).
Traditionally, it’s the white colour what is associated with innocence (see, for example, white pantyhose).
Can the invention of transparent materials (e.g. latex) change this perception? See also this photo.
On James Corden’s World Cup show (see the video below) Katy Perry was wearing (yes! again!) a custom made latex dress.
As always, media called it “a figure hugging PVC dress”. Do they have a taboo on words like “latex” and “rubber”?
The story of getting the latex garment is also interesting. See what Katy Perry and Abigail wrote about it:
Katy Perry:

Do you need a birthday present for a kid? For, say, a girl? (Does not matter, actually). Then look at what Christian Louboutin created: collectible fetish cat burglar Barbie in a latex/lycra catsuit with an open face hood and a set of various high heels (have you ever seen burglars WITHOUT high heels?
Mission impossible! )
From what I know, the rope (shown on picture) is not provided, so you have to supply your own. The legend is to use it for “burglar purposes”, but we all know, that rope Continue reading “Fetish Barbie by Christian Louboutin”
Imagine that you are invited on a formal party/event with a swimming pool. What to wear? Here’s an answer.
Latex gloves, transparent latex stockings with back seams, latex swimsuit and, of course, high heels. This outfit would look much more formal and elegant than, say, a flowery swimsuit with a pareo.
And latex does not get wet. You will not leave wet spots after swimming – a towel will make your clothes dry in a dozen of seconds.

Update Jun 13, 2010 @ 18:01:
The guys behind the Dutch “Algemeen Dagblad” (ad.nl) do not only ignore latex, they simply do not do the home work properly. Being patriots (Jan Jansen is a Dutch designer) is not a bad thing at all, but publishing wrong information is at least not professional.
Now the correct info. Lady Gaga is wearing Noritaka Tatehana shoes from the Artisan 2010 collection and men’s rubber singlet made by a British company Void of Course. Bag by Hermes modified by Haus of Gaga.

German artist, illustrator, sculptor and designer Gernot has a very distinct style. You never confuse Gernot with any other artist unless they copycatting each other. He works closely with “Marquis” and this fetish magazine introduced me to his works.
As it usually happens, I can’t recall the stories, but I do remember the illustrations. Anybody interested in such stories? I might still have some (English version). Will have to scan them, though.
But for now see 16 images below and German version of “Fetish Castle” by Barbara Tisch with Gernot’s illustrations here (found on the Net).

Probably it was mostly the disturbing but yet rather attractive and erotic images of kids in latex, kids in bondage, kids playing bondage games with their toys, bruises and cuts, tortured dolls, “sinister innocence” and “paedophilia-paranoia which crossed the border of thought crime” what caused Trevor Brown to move to Japan. Though Japan always attracted him. Even for the Eastern people Japan looks like a separate planet, let alone people from the West.
The “general audience” finds his images shocking, Continue reading “Kids in latex, enfant terrible or Trevor Brown. Part I”
