There are many ways to tie a karada (see here). On this video (made by yosinomi) you can see another method not covered in the Technique section. The idea is, of course, the same. I can’t agree with how the bottom part is fixed (I would prefer my way), though.
Please note that Yosinomi does not make any knots until the very last step. I would call it a pure Japanese way – no knots.
BTW, what is the best word to use for tying a karada? Tie? Bind? Weave? Plait? Make?
