Gothic festival “Summer Darkness 2009” in Utrecht – Part II

See Part I

Two moments.

First. It took me two years to return to this event and finally sort and process the photos I made there. (There will be one more part). And today (what a coincidence!) I’ve been to the Summer Darkness festival again.

Second. It too me five years to figure out why my vivid photos look so flat and lifeless on the website. And the reason is … oh…. this is soooo embarrassing… wrong colour space!

Now I have to either reprocess all the published photos again, or leave them as they are. I will probably redo only the posts I was going to rewrite/reformat anyway. In this set there are pictures in both sRGB and AdobeRGB spaces.

  1. Which color space were you using? I’ve found sRGB is pretty much standard.

  2. AdobeRGB, it was set up in the camera, and since I always use RAW, TIFF or PSD I never noticed the problem. *it happens when I save JPG for web.
