Do not use free image hosting services

I should’ve done it earlier, but since everything was working fine I decided to wait and concentrate on updates. But bloody Photobucket changed the way they addressed thumbnails, and as a result all linked pics disappeared from posts.

I’m removing everything related to these morons (who block classic art should a naked breast appear there), but it’s gonna take days.

That’s another lesson about the same rule – do not use free image hosting services. Sooner or later they will betray you.

  1. A number of years ago, I was looking into building my own photo server. A CS-900 worked well, And I had lots of pictures on it. But I don’t know programing as I should. So, the idea was put on the back burner for now.

But YOU, are better than I, Maybe you can do something like that? I remember that Lenix Red Hat had a surver program, or something like that, That maybe you can use it to store or save all of your photos.

  2. This is solved for the recent posts: images can be simply uploaded to the blog or to the forum. But years ago, when the bandwidth and disk size were serious issues, I had to upload files to free hosting services and “hot link” them here. The images (at least half of them, the rest were censored, ha-ha) are still there, but the codes for the thumbnails were changed, so they are not visible in the posts now.
