The kinky tool-box
#1
Over time, I have collected quite a few usefull items, to be used in self-bondage and related tasks. I am sure, others have too, so I suggest to collect them here.
My idea is to make one post for each item, with photos, instructions and range of use. It should not be about bondage items, but about how to make them useful or better.

While explorinig my climbing-in balloon, I had to come up with a good method to inflate it. The result is a useful in-/deflation pump with low noise. this will be the first item here.

Aeady existing posts could be linked here for convenience.

Manual Leaf Blower with reverse gear

The pump costs around 20 Euro in a DIY shop, it is a simple bilge pump with two connections, one to suck in the air (sorry, I meant to say "bilge water"), one to blow it out. Capacity is 2x2 l, which means that whenever you pull or push the piston, you will move 2 l from one valve to the other. Originally designed to pump water, it apparently works fine with air as well. It comes with several end-pieces to vary the water stream or fit air matresses, balls, rubber balloons (the "normal" small ones) etc. There is also a 0.3 bar one-directional valve to prevent pressures higher than 0.3 bar, which can be removed, if necessary. This pump is available online too, I think. Look for "explorer doppelhub-kolbenpumpe".

Additionally, I bought a water exhaust pipe of 5 cm diameter, an end-piece to fit into it and a rubber plug that fits into the end-piece. This gets the diameter down to the hose of the bilge pump. No extra sealing required, you only need to stick everything together. Available at most DIY shops in Germany, cost about 6 Euro.

Possible uses for our range of activity:
Inflate inflatables of all sorts to low pressure (I don't think, it can handle bicycle tyres)
Deflate deflatables of all sorts (but apparently no self-vaccuuming)
Create an intense PVC smell in your room

Tested on:
Inflatable (dual-wall) latex sleeping bag. Very effective, but you can only inflate it to a certain extent, if you still want to get in. And while in, you need a single-action pump, assuming, that you can push to pump and lift the pump to get the piston out for the next push. The additional exhaust-water pipe was not needed here, one of the adapters fit well.
Giant climbin-balloon - see my separate threat here: https://www.likera.com/forum/mybb/Thread...In-Balloon

Advantages:
Cheap
Almost silent
Much faster than a bicycle pump because of the huge piston
2-way action, push and pull

Disatvantages:
Manual and therefore slow
Cannot be used, when seriously restrained
Unless you are very small, you cannot operate this pump while standing upright

Possible improvements:
Make more adapters, when needed
Create a rest for the pump, where it can be operated while standing upright.

Here are three very important tools, two of them for general use, one for quite specific tasks:

The door-handle
 doorhandle.jpg
It has various uses:
- strong hook to pull on the string of my monoglove
- anchor point for bondage with long ropes
- release aid, if I cannot open the knots of my wrist tie

The hook on the wall
 hook.jpg
Basically one use:
- hook a thin string to pull a zipper, for example on my bolero armbinder
This hook is not very strong, but it is at the height of my face, so I can easily hook a string that I am holding in my mouth - for example.
And the height is also useful to pull zippers up to the neck. It is possible with the door handle too, but why bother? I got this convenient hook😉

Wooden letter opener with a dull edge, about 20 cm long.

This tool is used with my straight jacket. I need something to direct the chest strap into the buckle, while my hands are out of the way. So I hold this letter opener in my mouth and use it to push the strap. I just wonder, if it could be used to open tight knots. I like to tie my wrists in a sleeping bag, but need to be careful to tie the knots lose enough to be opened, because I can't possibly reach a door-handle from inside a latex sleeping bag.  And, since it is just a flat wooden stick with dull sides, it is harmless inside a sleeping bag.

A tool to be made (so no photo):

A board, with a two or three strong hooks at different heights, that can be fixed vertically on a strong base. I need this board to pull on the various parts of the armbinder laces. I cannot think of a non-kinky reason for such a board in a room, so it must be detachable. I think, the hooks need to be v-shaped, with one side much longer, because that side will stick in the board. The corner should "grab" the lace a bit better than a standard hook, and so I can pull in one direction. Visualize a laced armbinder, then imagine, you want to pull the lace tight where the string crosses. Apparently, you have to work from bottom to top and pull the strings up on each cross, but not pull the cross out. Right now,  I am doing this with the corner of a table, but this pulls on the upper and lower part at the same time, less effective. Even ineffective while pulling the upper parts.

Here a sketch:
armbinderlacepullerboard.jpg    as you can see, the lace needs to be pulled at some areas.
Perhaps, the hooks can be made from wooden blocks. Nicer on the string, and probably stronger than the thickest nails I can bend.
like this:
wooden_hook.jpg    the "finger" could be shorter, less leverage for breaking the hook, and less work
I think, it has to be plywood or cross-grain laminated hardwood, because with the grain in the sketch, it looks like it is going to break right away, when I pull downwards. On the other hand, the hook could be mounted upside down. And it should be wider towards the board.
Altered sketch (hook still not upside down)
 wooden_hook_b.jpg
I have also made the tenon wider.
I have no idea yet, how to fix this board and where to. Perhaps I add a piece of wood at the back of the board to clamp it to a table.
If you have ideas, let me know.

I usually use "loops & twists" method, when you make twist the figure 8 wrist rope in various directions to tighten the bind, while adding new loops. If the direction to untwist can't be guessed, only knife will help 😁

Depends on the tension, but I think wooden hooks can be broken relatively easily.

It depends on the grain direction. The pull will be mostly vertical, while the grain of the hooks is horizontal. If the notch is too narrow, the wood will of course split, when I pull the string too far in. On some palletts, the blocks are made from very dense wood. This wood is a pain to work with but very tough. Might be the best material for the hooks.

That would be troublesome in a sleeping bag with no knife inside...

but thanks for reminding me to test the anti-knot-stick 😁
