Latex- or similarly coated lycra swimsuits

There was Mizumo, Speedo and a couple of other brands selling something like swim suits with high zippered back and a rubber-like surface on the outside - mostly for water polo. But apparently, these suits are off the market. Some of us like such suits, so why not collect places where they are still sold at reasonable prices (meaning not ebay auctions for example)?

Recently, I found http://www.shop4swimming.eu/design1.asp?...id=1147500 - which is not exactly what I want, but close. Shoulder zippers sounds nice though!

An imperfect alternative is a suit made from neoprene. Unfortunately, these are basically made for women (the real swimsuits) and the ones I have seen so far would not accomodate men's jewels properly - and neoprene is not exactly elastic either. Of course there are wet suits and dry suits in various thicknesses and designs, but that is a totally different garment.

Yeah the male and female patterns are quite different.
I found that you can have stuff made for not much more than retail if you shop around smaller stores. I had a friendly dance wear shop that made stuff for me for years... they even had a male base pattern for me.

Dance wear shops are nice, and lycra dance wear for men is considered normal there. Actually, I get along with most female designs as well. If I see a very high leg opening, I aeady know, that it might be uncomfortable. Of course, these shops don't usually do latex or PU coated stuff. PU is a pretty nice material too, it is thicker than latex, less elastic, but it does stretch a bit. And it has a very specific smell as well.

Do you mean the laminiated/coated stuff like Darlex?
I'v been tring to find a place to buy some of this...

Yeah I used to love the smell of the workshop in the dancewear shop!
They where very nice to me, what I had made was obviously not dance wear. Hmm I'm sure they would have used any material if I had supplied it.
TruWest have some interesting suits: http://www.likera.com/blog/wp/archives/204
