Pantyhose art. Paul Kelley. Part I

“Paul Kelley is a Canadian artist, born in Nova Scotia in 1955. … His quiet lifestyle belies Paul’s acute sense of the elements of fundamental beauty and sensuous allure. Paul understands the subtle difference between “sensual beauty”, and “sexual eroticism”. …

Paul’s art is a labor of love. Each realistic painting is the result of hundreds of hours of work involving the careful manipulation of light and form, colour and composition, to create an image which is passionate and alluring. Whether the subject is a marine art or a young woman in high heels, the result is a balanced image which is both powerful and yet serene, mysterious yet inviting. Whether or not the piece is sensual art by subject, the result is a painting which is sensuous art in it’s essential form. ”

This is what Advent Art website says about Paul. “…a young woman in high heels…”. Something important is missing in that phrase… Namely – “pantyhose and stockings”.

Fetish paintings by Mike S. Mall

Mike S. Mall is a Swedish artist who (unlike many other authors of cartoons, comics and pin-ups) paints (not draws), uses oil paints (unlike many others who use acrylic paints). (Remember the notes under paintings in museums: “Oil on canvas”?)

And unlike many other artists he paints fetish paintings. Pantyhose, stockings, high heels, catsuits, latex, zentai (yes, latex and zentai too) – all apply here.

Interested? See this shop. Not yet? See 18 paintings below. Then check the shop 😉

Women and fetish art. Part II. Fetish paintings by Jindra Noewi

fetish painting red latex stockings glovesSee Part I.

I wouldn’t make a big mistake if I say that 95% of fetish photography and fetish art is made by men. There are exceptions, of course, but I still think that they fall within those 5%. We got used to see females as models for male artists and photographers. We got used to see fetish attire worn by females.

We got used to think that (unlike birds and animals!) it’s females who are supposed to attract males by bright feathers. Yes, contrary to the mother nature.

But let’s begin with the first part. Jindra Noewi is a Czech artist. She began to draw when she was two and a magazine for the kids published her drawing. No, nothing fetish related yet 😉 But hang on. Just like my wife she studied fashion design, and I know (I’ve seen it!) that they draw a lot, and we know (we see it!) that fashion and fetish go hand in hand.

OK, enough words. See some paintings below. You can buy and see more of her works here.

Tights in Art

Some time ago Geraden and Co introduced “Tights in Art” historical paintings gallery, mostly featuring men wearing pantyhose (tights) or stockings. The idea was to demonstrate that tights were worn by men long before women got their legs into them. The collection has grown to almost 40 pictures.

On the left: “Blue on pink” by Ann Murray. For those, who are interested here’s a link to her gallery.
