Funny, emotions, if not "the only" way to make INTJ do something outside of The System, is definitely the easiest method 😂  INTJs feed on positive emotions.

I also know some examples, when INTJs, who were afraid of or not ready to open emotions, ended up with always gloomy and sombre INTPs ("Balzac"). Then, after they sucked the rest of aeady not so much juices from each other, they simply had absolutely no energy to divorce or do something. It's sooooooo funny .....

I dunno, I think an ESFJ would tire me out too fast. Most extroverts do. Too much energy.

I don't know what my boyfriend's MBTI is, but he's definitely I*T*, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was an INTP, ISTJ, or another INTJ. And we've been happy for several years now. I just don't think I hold much stock in dualization.

Dualization is not a panacea. The actual person is much more important than any categories. And proper "typing" is a huge problem.

Dualization is an interesting thing. Obviously, every type (and every person) has its own strengths and weaknesses. To get all functions working at their ultimate best, you need the whole "socion" - all 16 types. But to get the most out of the smallest amount - this is where duals excel. Duals support each other's weak functions, and protect the "vulnerable ones". If one person is extrovert, the dual is introvert, if one is thinking, the dual is feeling, if one is intuitive, the dual is sensing. Only one dichotomy is working differently: both should be either rational or irrational.

Duals usually "collapse" into each other. They became something like a sphere on a flat horizontal surface. Self-containing, self-efficient. No sparkles. No sexual madnesses. Sex is great. No sex is also great. Going out - excellent idea. Staying at home - even better. Duals can be comfortably with each other (and nobody else!) 24x7x365 -- and this is a perfect test.

In other words (oversimplifying and exaggerating):
one + dual = 3
one + conflicting type = -3
one + semi-dual = 1.5
one + activator = 2

Socionics define 8 types of interrelationships. Some of them comfortable, some of them are not.

i have a problem with the 16 types 6 its the fact that my responses vary depending on the level of emotional i am.
for someone who enjoys doing these tests repeatedly over time i feel it's too extreme

INTJ and INTP are quasy-equals. Comfortable relationships with two "holes": sensing and feeling. Lack of sensing is usually solved by house-helpers. Lack of feeling - by pets or ethical/feeling children. Or friends.

What for one is the essence of living (1st function), for the other one is something obvious, usual, background, trivial, which should (even must) not be discussed (8th function). E.g. the structural logic of INTJ is the main function, while for INTP it "should not be named". The main function of INTP is the sense of The Time. Historical events, actions, deeds follow The Time. If for INTJ it's The System, for INTP it's The Time. The Time is 4-dimensional, all actions, doings, events, processes (everything dynamic!) are on the shelves of The Time. And for INTJ the time is the background process, it's not worthy of a conversation or a discussion.

The 2nd - "creativity" functions are interesting. What for one is the "creative function", for the other is the "rejection" one (7th function). If INTJ is always trying to find a possibility to keep The System functioning, INTP might say - "It's impossible". This is the ultimate reject reason for INTP.

And the other way around. INTP is always looking for how to do something in Time, INTJ might say: "This is not my job". Which is the ultimate reject reason for INTJ.

What each of the types actually needs (the weakest 5th function), the other one can not satisfy, because it falls on the vulnerable, next weakest 4th function. Yet, since those functions are the weakest, they rarely can hurt each other.

As the result, INTP and INTJ can turn each other off. They can perfectly work alone and then synchronize results. They can perfectly watch a film together, visit a museum, have a dinner, even live together. But not much to discuss. Each of them lives in a shell, with periodically opening windows towards each other. OTOH, they do not step on each other's painful wounds. And everything is very quiet and calm. INTJs are usually a bit louder with a bit sharper voices. INTPs voices are usually softer and almost with no emotions.

INTJ (as a rigid rational type) defines the agenda and timing. INTP (as a flexible irrational type) has to sync to INTJ.

Psychopathy:

3. Sociopaths may form emotional attachments, although it is difficult for them.
   
4. They are often seen as irresponsible and unreliable in relationships.

Dunno, I saw raw emotions (extroverted ethics), and used her as a perfect example. You can see everything on her face, which speaks better than words.

They definitely do. Every top sport team has psychologists. Every professional team, which is supposed to work as a group alone, is built using sociotypes.
