DVR Alert - A Documentary about BDSM worth while (I Hope!)
Posted by: cbshackle - 17 Jan 2013, 07:23 - Forum: Off-topic - Replies (10)

I'm normally afraid of documentaries about our lifestyle. Usually they put such a negative spin on things. However this one should be different. A friend (who is also a couples sex therapists) is in this documentary and has done documentaries in the past with Lisa Ling and was pleased with the results.

So set your DVRs to Our America with Lisa Ling on Tuesday, January 22nd at 10/9c, on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network). Here is a link to watch the first 5 minutes of it.

http://www.oprah.com/own-our-america-lis...ason-Video

I'm recording and saving this shoe in hopes that if I ever have to explain our lifestyle to a vanilla person that doesn't "get it" this would help. From what I'm told, this documentary is not to make people like it, it's so they understand why other people like it. Let's hope they get it right.

  Rope, Straps, and others
Posted by: Tinker D - 17 Jan 2013, 04:06 - Forum: General - Replies (3)

What is your favorite self bondage material?😁

I like rope for most self bondage. But I also like leather straps and rings as well.
With rope, I can enjoy myself, because when I struggle, the knots get tighter and tighter. That means, when my release comes, I will need a knife to get free.

With Leather straps, or belts, I can last long through the nite bound till the key drops, or I can see where the key has fallen.

I don't like handcuffs or the leg irons.

So, What do you like to use, and when?

  Experienced... Out of ideas :(
Posted by: KinkyRopes - 16 Jan 2013, 04:39 - Forum: Self-bondage General - Replies (5)

So, I am quite expierienced at selfbondage, but I am COMPLETELY out of ideas... Honestly I'm starting to get bored with this; I was wondering if you guys could help me brainstorm 😊

I'm a 20 year old male.

Here's a list of the gear I have:

-25ft rope
-Ball gag
-Neck posture collar
-Nipple clamps
-Nipple vibrators
-Locking panties
-Vibrating butt plug
-Zip ties
-12 set of padlocks (lol if master lock doesn't intend for them to be used this way then why do they sell them in sets of 12 πŸ˜‰
-Ice time lock

So any ideas would be GREEEEEAAATLY appreciated, thanks 😁

Happy to answer any other questions if you need it.

  Mittens experiments
Posted by: Joyl27 - 09 Jan 2013, 15:11 - Forum: Self-Bondage Techniques - Replies (3)

Just another fun thing I tried today.

I bought some winter-grade polyester leggings, because they are made of thick fabric. Tried them on my arms, and found out that I can make fairly comfortable mittens from them: Pull the legpiece as far as possible from the hand, put the hand in a fist, and wrap the legpiece around the wrist and tie it (just push the end through the loop once; friction will hold it in place). Repeat for the other hand. (If you need to, use a blunt knife to assist in tying the other hand.)
Then get some nice long and tight cotton stockings or socks, and pull them over the arms. You may need to use teeth to pull the socks. The sock will both smooth the shape, hiding the ugly knot around the wrist, and friction alone will hold it nicely in place, while its tightness will further compress the hands.
Then a pair of skin-colored cotton pantyhose, on the arms and pulled tight and smooth. This is for four purposes: aesthetic purposes, for tightness, for friction in a later part, and it locks the two previous steps in place, requiring the removal of this pantyhose before the two previous ones can be removed.
Then a tight T-shirt, which locks the pantyhose in place. (It would not lock the socks.) Secure the T-shirt with a belt on the waist. To remove the pantyhose, one must first untie the belt. The belt could be secured with a lock.

I really wanted to put on normal clothes and take a walk, but from past experience I know that that it's nearly impossible to get e.g. keys from a pocket with your hands wrapped in fists. Heheh. Or to manipulate a key in a door lock. I didn't want to risk it.

Then finally, a neoprene wetsuit. The cotton pantyhose on the arms provided such a friction against the neoprene that it was really difficult to push the fists through the wetsuit hand openings. I had to assist it with my teeth.

Things learned:
- Removing a wetsuit without fingers, with which to pinch and pull it, is really difficult 😊
- You don't need pantyhose to make pantyhose mittens. Leggings work just as well.
- A thick fabric works very well in pantyhose mittens. Thin fabric will sooner or later begin to chafe the wrists and block the circulation. The thick one has none of those problems. It was really comfortable.

EDIT: Did a second session, and this time it involved going outside for a walk. And using the lock in the belt, and putting the lock key in a water bottle and the bottle in a freezer.
Observations:
- When wearing a wetsuit, you can technically wear it the wrong way and the right way. For my type of wetsuit, the right way is that the zipper is in the back. I found out that doing it the wrong way it is easy to don it, but really difficult to remove it without fingers. Doing it the right way, it is difficult to don it, especially closing the zipper (which I didn't fully manage), but easy to remove.
- Reaching for keys in a pocket turns out to be much easier when you turn the pocket upside down.
- Turning the door key was not the most difficult part. (Which I did rehearse before committing to the decision to go out.) The difficult part was in removing the key from the lock! My key ring has lots of keys, and the door has a huge handle right next to the key hole.
- Buttoning up a coat without fingers is difficult. (15-20 minutes)
- Winter time is ideal for this kind of exercise. No shortage of cool air, because in these layers it does get hot.
- It wasn't impossible to pull the shirt up despite the belt that I had pulled to the tightest position I possibly could. While my lock did function to prevent removal of the belt, it didn't prevent removing the shirt and the mittens.

EDIT: I tried a third thing with the same leggings. First I had ducttaped my feet into such positions that it's impossible to walk with them, and my face in such way that I was effectively both blindfolded and gagged. In addition, I ducttaped my fingers together and thumbs into the palms (before wearing the leggings on the arms), because the fist shape becomes strenuous after a while and I still wanted to disable the hands. Tying together the feet of the leggings that are on your arms, you form a loop. Wrap the loop around your waist, and you get a straitjacket. After a while, a thought crossed my mind to add the padlock into the straitjacket, locking the two sleeves together from between the wrists. Initially I considered it too dangerous, possibly inescapable, but the thought did not leave me, so I tried it. Lessons learned:
- Locking the lock is really, really difficult, especially if it's not a snap&click type locking, but one in which you need to turn the key to lock it. Locking the lock behind your back is even more difficult (if you prefer to put the hands behind your back), easily doubling the time needed to lock it even if you have a mirror.
- As long as you keep the key in the lock, unlocking the lock is not nearly as difficult as locking it is, but it still poses challenge.
- If you remove the key from the lock, then even if you know exactly where the key is despite being blindfolded, unlocking the lock becomes a serious ordeal. Been there, done that (not blindfolded).

  Latex (and other) Catsuits, Sizing
Posted by: Strappado - 07 Jan 2013, 20:39 - Forum: Latex - Replies (21)

Today, I went to a taylor to get all measurements needed for a taylor-made catsuit. I told him, that I needed the measurements for a bicycle racing suit (which is fairly close to a catsuit except for the ankle/foot part, which goes over the shoes). There are a couple of things I would have done wrong, so it was a good decision to ask a taylor. He didn't ask for a payment, so I asked, and he charged me 5 Euro, good investment. I haven't decided yet, I have two options and both aren't exactly cheap:

Latex catsuit in many fancy colours, 0.4mm thickness, 130 to 150 Euro, the shop is here: http://www.private-clothing.de/

Vinyl catsuit from PUL (http://www.pvc-u-like.com/store/showitem.asp?id=800), about 225 Euro, plus shipment. The website says 110 Euro, but there is a surcharge for the special fabric and another surcharge of 30 pound for the special size.

I know latex and I know the vinyl coated fabric from PUL, I like them both.

I know PUL from a few purchases and they are very professional and reliable. I do not know the latex maker at all, but he was fast and precise on his answers by email.
One point for the vinyl catsuit.

In principle I like latex if it doesn't smell too strong (not the ammoniac smell which fades after a while anyway) and I am quite sure, it would be an extraordinary feeling to have a suit. For pure fetish reasons, I would probably prefer a latex suit over the vinyl suit.
Two points for latex.

The vinyl suit might be "useful" in public, under the pretext of low cw on the bicycle, I might actually be able to wear it during training rides.
One point for the vinyl catsuit.

Latex needs thorough care, especially after sweating in it. I often lack the opportunity for cleaning and I have seen latex rot in my wardrobe.
One point for the vinyl catsuit again, which doesn't have this weakness.

The latex suit is much cheaper than the vinyl suit.
One point for the latex suit.

The vinyl suit got 3 points
The latex suit got 3 points

I could not find any other criteria yet, so I am stuck.

Ok, another subject on this subject:

The idea of a catsuit is unisex, the designs are not, there are distinct differences between male and female designs. The male ones are longer, have wider shoulders and the waist line is usually at the top of the hip bones. The female ones have the hip line right at the end of the rib cage. Women have breasts. The crotch area of both designs must be slightly different. Of course, arm and leg width vary too, but that would be taken care of by the individual size. I want a mix of both: Reasonable crotch design, high and narrow waist and overall as skintight as possible. Optionally, I would like to use silicon breasts, so the chest area must not be too tight. I wonder if someone else has tried to get that and what were the results.

  Splash!
Posted by: highswim - 07 Jan 2013, 00:44 - Forum: Lycra - Replies (1)

So you may know Tom Daley, a Team GB Olympic diver. Since the diving thing took off, ITV commissioned a programme called Splash! where celebrities are coached by Tom to dive. Cue swimsuits! This is Jenni Falconer, who’s a TV presenter in Britain, and the rest of the series looks like it might only get better from here.

I’m not sure how well this works in other countries, but here’s the link: https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/splash-/se.../episode-1

  Liquid Latex and Making Clothes
Posted by: Strappado - 06 Jan 2013, 19:54 - Forum: Self-Bondage Techniques - Replies (8)

I was quite astonished to see, that a search for "liquid latex" didn't return any good results. Ok, here is one now.

Apparently, liquid latex is pretty much the original product, milk from that tree, in a solvent, plus some preserving agent. So the idea is to put it into the desired shape, let it dry and vulcanise. The liquid can be "painted" on any surface, also including skin.

I started wondering, what I would like to paint or make from this stuff and looked around on the internet too. Of course, I dreamt of full body mummification and stuff like that, but that is rather impossible, definitely impossible alone.

People do make clothing on the body, they even include a zipper, so you can take off the result in one piece later on. By the way, "later on" means about at least one or two hours after finishing the paint. The latex still has to cure for another 24 hours, but it is stable enough now.

You can also coat a fabric with liquit latex, that is, what I might try. I have an old canvas jacket which I could turn into a cool raincoat. Also t-shirts might be good candidates. And perhaps even an old lycra catsuit. Oh, swimsuits of course! Well, it won't be real latex clothing, but according to some pictures and reports, you can get a reasonable surface finish (as good as door paint, depending on the skill of the painter, someone said), and after all, you can turn the item inside out, and coat the inside too.

I wonder if anyone here has got some experience with liquid latex. Any ideas welcome, this is supposed to become a thread about how to have fun with liquid latex.

Junk from Online (and offline) Shops
Posted by: Strappado - 05 Jan 2013, 22:34 - Forum: Fetish shopping - Replies (3)

There are a couple of things that re-appear in many shops worldwide and look like real junk, some of them probably are indeed. So far, we have a wide collection of good stuff available for our passions. For a better view on the good gear we have, I would like to shed a light onto the real bad stuff (bad as "not good").

If you feel offended, because your fetish is "junk", then you got the right place here for new items. πŸ˜‰

http://www.latexguenstig.de/epages/61207...cts/SM157a

Fixing your hands to the neck is dangerous! But that is not the point. Actually, I have no idea about the quality of this toy, but I have seen similar ones made from very cheap stiff and stinking leather. This shop is not too bad after all, although clearly not high-end.

http://www.pvc-traum.de/product_info.php...-Ball.html

This is made from painfully cheap material, not even close to leather. "One size" certainly fits a few people, but never all. I think, I got this gag from another shop, the chin strap is useless, way too short.

I started this thread from memories, I think, I can come up with much better examples later on.

PS: I am not saying, that all the stuff from any shop that I have linked to or will link to in future, is junk. I had to select one shop for the link, and the fact, that these shops are in my favorite list, should indicate, that they must have at least a few good items.
