Thinking more about this , the rider is actually strapped onto the board by their feet... I'll probably never be able to snowboard again without seeing all the women with their legs strapped wide apart.... oh dear! 😉

Shame that all the clothing is so bulky (excluding the downhill skiers of course!) and unsexy.

Very good point! My next thought was "T-bar", but falling with something rigid inserted in your #$%^& is not comfortable 😁
