Absolutely. This is the narrative exactly.

The problem is... I'll try to formulate...

There are real reasons. Some of them are known, for example, to keep the president chair, to stay in power, to get into the history as the great defender and the great unifier, to live forever, to rule the world, etc. Some are hidden (e.g. occult ones), some are subconscious.

There are claimed reason: liberation, denazification, etc.

There are actual actions, which contradict the claimed reasons, and do not serve the real ones.

In psychology, the former is called "double bind" from which there is no escape (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_bind). The latter is called mediocrity, impunity, corruption, greediness, fear, low morale, etc.

We and the whole world are trying to analyze the reasons and actions logically, but it's impossible, because there is NO logic in them.

All the posted above videos, twits, quotes are just ripples on water - far consequences of propagandas. Not "ideologies", because there is no ideology here, ideology died together with USSR, and no new proper suitable ideology has been invented yet.

It must be very popular questions among people living in southern and eastern UA. Probably on pair with questions asked by Russian soldiers in same areas: Why they are shooting us (like in Kharkiv) or protesting against us (like in Kherson) instead of welcoming us with flowers?

I have read some reports that some part of Russian speaking population promised themselves to switch to Ukrainian because of the war, so the numbers from your previous post will go down. We will see by how much.

Yep. It has been happening since 2014. Some of my Ukrainian friends say: "Thanks to Putin we learned our own language". Some other Ukrainian friends blame Ukrainian government for mandatory switching to Ukrainian in traditionally Russian (Charkov) or multicultural (Odessa) cities.

And this is why I said, that it's a crime to have only one official language in UA and not two. HUGE UA mistake, really dividing people into two camps.
