So, what is a Fetish?
A fetish is the mainstream non-medical terminology for anything you achieve arousal from that isn't reproduction! So, if it's not peepee into vajayjay to make a baby then it's a Fetish!
Even if you spend 1000s of hours playing lego obsessed & waste much of your free time with it instead of spending time with your friends. It's not a fetish! As long as you don't play lego to get aroused or better said if you get aroused by playing lego, then it's a fetish.

Fetishes mainly aren't very cute; Some fetishes are so far away from cute there are actual medical definitions for them called Paraphilias. Actually, all fetishes are defined as Paraphilias but categorized into severity to figure out if the fetish has to be treated or can be allowed, ignored or refocused by mental health professionals.
What does Paraphilias mean?
It comes from the 2 Greek words PARA & PHILIA
PARA meaning many things but for our case specifically meaning abnormal.
PHILIA meaning love.
So, Paraphilia means "Abnormal Love", so every fetish is the abnormal love for its specific arousal.
Both American & European,
DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) &
ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases) respectively have their own lists, definitions & reasons for defining fetishes as Paraphilias.
Some overlap some differ. One book might exclude something that is included in the other.

Let's use the ultimate taboo fetish! pedophilia meaning love for prepubescent.
So, if you are 30 & fuck a 16yo you're not a pedophile. You are a creep, an asshole & a criminal punishable by law but won't be forced to get psychotherapy & or chemically castrated, nor locked up in a mental health asylum for sexual criminals.
