WARNING: this method is not very reliable! If the chain gets entangled inside the bottle, you might get stuck! Always use a backup release!

This is a slight modification of Ice Padlock 1. Two loops are replaced with ONE chain. This padlock can be used to allow you some mobility after a certain period of time. as a matter of precaution, it's safer if you can reach the lock while bound to shake it if the chain does not come out. If the water is still frozen, you won't get free anyway.

The device is ridiculously simple, effective, yet reliable. Here's what you need:

• plastic bottle
• one chain
• water
• fridge

• The bottleneck must be wide enough, to EASILY allow the chain through!
• The longer the chain, the more chance it gets entangled!

Put the chain into the bottle...

... leaving only the loops outside.

Now fill the bottle with water and put the "device" into a fridge.
