Your mis-adventures with ice-locks sounds like many of my sessions over the years.

Everything is set up to go and then... disaster strikes (in one form or another). 

I've bust zips, broken buckles, accidently closed a padlock in the wrong place (with keys out of reach for the next hour or so) and had so many sessions simply fail due to some element not working as planned. 

Who'd have imagined that the inability to make yourself helpless could be just as frustrating as doing it right!  😁 

That gag looks nice and tight - what was behind the panel?

42 mm ballgag, unfortunately made from some kind of firm "foam".
I'll need to swap that for a nice silicone ball some time.
