Single-gloves in self-bondage - Strap Securing

Great reporting Strappado 😁

I think you are 100% correct about a single-glove being for experienced self-bondagers only, and only then if they are lithe and fit!

Your experiences sound both thrilling and at the same time quite scary! On one hand I want to rush out, buy a single glove and get playing, but on the other I know my own limits and suspect I could never achieve a safe session on my own.

My own experiments have only been with a 'pantyhose single-glove' and the results are mixed. By using larger pantyhose I am able to achieve a very comfortable feeling, with on leg down over my head and the 'waist' over both my shoulders and pulled well down. My arms are easily slipped into the other leg and I'm in into single-glove heaven... almost. The nylon is nicely tight over my uppers arms, but too loose around my wrists.

I've experimented with multiple pairs of pantyhose, up to three inside each other and single heavy/thick denier (60-80d) - and single works best, but I found wearing a second sheer pair over your arms really helps.

The hardest part is manoeuvring your arms behind your back and into the second leg - my all time best session was when I managed to get myself into a pair of 'medium' 60d pantyhose. It was a huge struggle and at one point I suddenly feared I wouldn't be able to escape, but once in I was in self-bondage heaven for a good 10 minutes.

I feel a photo-shoot coming on next time I have some home-alone time! 😁

Strappado - keep the postings coming and please include any photos if you can!

Thanks

MJ
I wanted to make photos, but the armbinder requires all my attention so far, I keep forgetting to prepare the camera.

Years ago, I had tried pantyhose monogloves too, it is completely different. Well, I didn't push it far, I happened to have a pair and did it a few times. I didn't like the pantyhose over my head so much.

The usual monogloves, which are much wider, are not too bad, the "bolero single glove" type is pretty good if you can fix the zipper and the size is suitable.

The next report about the ozbondage armbinder might take a while. I have to find a way to get in more comfortably. It sucks, when you feel worn out before the session has even started.

For the "head out design" you can try bike shorts or leggings. If the "leg" is too narrow for you head, just cut it off accordingly. The end result looks like a bolero single-glove.
I am going to stick to my leather armbinder. Yesterday and today I tried again, getting better! It is really crucial to open the lacing properly and have something to hook onto in order to pull the binder straight. The same device (bike repair stand in my case) is suitable to pull on the strings of the lacing, to get out slack BEFORE tightening it all over.

I am following these steps now:

Losen lacing (see above). The bottom should be just wide enough to get both hands through after each other, it should widen in a straight line over half the forearms. Then it should widen more, the opening from here could be an angle of 45° or so (guessed, not measured). You have to find out and remember, how it looks. If the opening is too small, there will be a lot of strain when sliding in the second arm. If the opening is wider than necessary, you have to deal with more lacing.

Put on the harness over the shoulders, make sure, the emergency release string is in the right place, then slip in one arm after the other, as far down as possible without pushing too hard (no muscle strain wanted!). Pull the binder straight, then push further in, until done - which is rather a decision than really done so far, but my fingertips reach the end of the binder.

Wiggle, push elbows outwards, try to get the lacing straight. Use the hook-device for help.

From bottom to top, pull strings out a bit, move any slack upwards. Then pull at the end of the lacing (top) to remove the slack, do not tighten around the elbows yet! The string-stoppers will do their job, but at this point, they might slide back a little, which is no problem. Repeat several times. This takes a while, if you pull out too much, you end up with a mess, twisted lacing etc, but you figure that out very soon. A mirror helps a lot here.

Eventually, when the lacing is fairly tight around the forearms, pull the open end of the lacing a little, then move the additional tension all over the length of the lacing In theory, you can do this for a very long time, but better start, before it becomes uncomfortable. At first, this is probably the case before the elbows come together.

Enjoy

In order to get out, there are three basic movements that have to be repeated: "Walk" one hand up the binder, move the elbow of the same arm outwards and/or up, move the other hand to its side. Eventually, the elbow of the moving arm will push over the upper strands of the lacing and get out. If the arm is too restricted by the leather strap over its shoulder, remove it with the emergency string. I consider adding a second string to the other shoulder strap, while getting better at tying myself up. This is no instand release, take your time and don't use too much strength in a single attempt.

Today, I found another important effect: It seems that the shoulder straps and the center strap have to be the perfect length. Kind of logical, the armbinder is made to fit my arms and there is only one position, where it can do that. Too long is clearly uncomfortable, too short probably not possible due to my shoulder width. I think, the shoulder straps should be just long enough to fit over my shoulders and the center strap must be set to the correct length by trial and error. Today, I shortened both, shoulder straps and center strap, this is much better! It also ensures, that I can pull the binder straight by stretching the arms. All other days, I had pressure marks on my arms and my arms went numb after a while. Today, I got the binder fairly tight and only the hands went slightly numb, probably from the compression, and not from cutting off the blood supply.

Getting on slowly, this is a lot of fun! I should buy a safety belt cutter and mount it to the wall somewhere, for real emergencies. I wonder if there are heavy duty designs that don't break easily...

Again yes, yes yes! This armbinder can be used in self bondage!
By the way, perhaps it is good, that I make slow progress only. I did manage to get my elbows together during the first attempts, but on the cost of real sour muscles. It might be good that I have time to adapt.

I promise, photos will follow, but please be patient.
I made fotos of the very first steps:

Lacing losened, shoulder straps on

left arm goes in easily, I stop here and will insert the other arm as far as the left arm, then push down, wiggle, pull the lacing etc, until the arms are in the right position

I have removed some slack and pulled tight the open end of the lacing. I didn't notice that the end of the armbinder was twisted a bit. apparently, the hands should be lower down... You can see the main trouble zone of the lacing, the center. If I simply pull the open end now, it will tighten at the top, but the center will stay lose. This is very tricky and - so far - depends on luck as well. By the way, this position is quite comfortable, and it is fairly easy to get out one arm.

I had to stop here, I cannot operate my camera when I don't have fingers available. It will be one photo per session, each one step further.

A question based on this photo - is it possible to close the lacing if your elbows are touching? By looking at the photo, I would say "no".

BTW, you would look great in the Realize swimsuit ;P

It will be closed eventually. The armbinder is designed to fit over time, the leather needs to be stretched and this ensures a perfect fit to the owner. I should have taken a photo from the side, the leather isn't touching the elbows at the front, it is wider than it seems.
Today I was playing a bit, used the hood string stopper on another item and then got to the armbinder again, with no stoppers.

I must be getting better at lacings, I got the binder much tighter this time. Of course it opened a bit at the top, because there were no stoppers...

After taking it off, there was an opening of a bit more than one inch, all along. I could take a picture of that, but that won't be of any use, since I could have closed the lacing after taking off the armbinder.

Playing with the armbinder is still stressful, especially for the right forearm, which is going in last and going out first, getting some nasty massage from eyelets, lacing etc.

I also played with the length of the straps again, longer on the shoulders, not sure, if the center strap has changed. I had tried to put it on in front, in order to look at the lacing while manipulating it. Not good, though, the connecting plate of all strape pushes against my throat.

I'd really like someone to help me into the armbinder completely, but I have no idea, whom to ask. Perhaps a friend of mine is coming over end of the year, I would ask him, and he might be ready to do it.

As far as I remember you live too far from me (if I do not confuse your city with the one where Krinlyc lives )

Any forum visitors around? 😉
I had some time to play over the last two weeks. The lacing still leaves an opening of half an inch, in average, but that is almost closed over the elbows and wider around the forearms. The armbinder is not too small, I simply don't get it tight enough. This is a pity, because I think, it will be more comfortable when the arms are held together all the way down to the wrists. Instead, they are pulled together at and above the elbows mostly.

The getting out is fine, I might have to mount a small hook somewhere, in order to pull down the armbinder a bit. Even if getting in is often fairly easy now, after taking off the armbinder, I feel like after a heavy muscle workout and I must be careful not to hurt my shoulders. So I'd rather pull down the armbinder than pulling up the shoulder of the arm that I am trying to get out.

Another not yet final conclusion: This type of armbinder is suitable for advanced self-bondage, but it takes a lot of trial and error. People with wider shoulders should make sure, that they get suitable straps. The straps seemed to be too short at first, but they are fine. However, a centimeter shorter whould be too short. It is an adventure to use this armbinder, I might have to resort to violent escape methods eventually (knife to cut the lace, fixed somewhere). I might add another release string to the other strap (so far, one on the right shoulder strap).

I will try to take a photo now...

Not as successful as earlier today, but good enough to show the progress:

 ozbondage.jpg

You can see, how the opening is wider in the middle section, while it is completely closed above the elbows. Another problem, that I was reminded of by this photo: The hands should go it a bit further, by another 1-1/2 inches perhaps. But that would require a method to pull up the armbinder directly...
