Phytoestrogens and magic herbs

I meant more that I'd be worried that the DHT blockers are not that effective, thus just leading to increased DHT instead of increasing estrogen as intended

That's a valid concern. The most effective DHT blocker is dutasteride, but you need a prescription for it.

For herbs, this is what is considered the most effective (out the top of my head):

- white peony
- green tea
- red maca
- reishi
- saw palmetto
- kamphaeria

The Ilsa Kelly Protocol: Graceful Feminization Without Losing Yourself

As autumn quietly approaches, I find myself ready to explore a path that bridges desire, science, and self-awareness. After months of reading, researching, and listening to the stories of others like me, I’ve crafted what I now call the Ilsa Kelly Protocol—a soft, natural feminization routine rooted in botanical intelligence and personal balance.
This protocol, which I will begin on myself this September, combines two powerful yet widely misunderstood herbs: Pueraria Mirifica and Red Maca. Their synergy is not just myth or folklore—it is echoed in peer-reviewed studies, hormonal feedback, and lived experience.

The Philosophy Behind It

My goal is not to erase or reject any part of who I am. Instead, I seek a gentle enhancement—a subtle bloom of femininity that softens edges, awakens curves, and nourishes the emotional fabric of being.
All while maintaining the masculine function of erection, which I consider not a contradiction but a complement to this blooming identity.

The protocol draws inspiration from natural rhythms—phases of growth, release, and renewal—echoing what many women experience, even if my biology never has.

The Core of the Protocol

Pueraria Mirifica (250–500 mg/day) will be taken in a cyclical rhythm inspired by the lunar or menstrual cycle:
  • Week 1: 250 mg – gentle awakening
  • Week 2: 500 mg – peak expression
  • Week 3: 250 mg – settling and grounding
  • Week 4: pause – integration and rest
Red Maca (500 mg/day, mornings) supports energy, emotional tone, and sexual balance—helping preserve masculine arousal while softening the body's contours.
No hormonal chaos, no loss of self. Only a becoming.

Grounded in Research

This protocol is not a fantasy. It draws from scientific literature on phytoestrogens, particularly Pueraria’s selective action on estrogen receptors and its potential anti-androgenic effects through 5α-reductase inhibition.
It’s safe, it’s reversible—and it’s respectful.

I believe that we each carry the right to shape our own reflection—gently, gracefully, and without fear.
If this resonates with you—or if you’ve walked a similar path—I would love to hear your thoughts.

Comment below if you’re curious, inspired, or have ideas to refine this protocol. Let’s learn from each other—one soft transformation at a time.

this is so ridiculous 😭

if you're going to fuck up your body chemistry anyway just buy estradiol off prescription - fully legal in the USA since it's not scheduled as well as most other countries.  there are a million sites out there, would be happy to help you find them.  if you want it pre-compounded, there are places for that.  if you want to compound yourself (17β for transdermal if you don't want to have to maintain sterility), you can buy 50 years worth of estradiol along with test results for around $150

@Like Ra you're right that duta is great for selectively blocking DHT, but you don't need a prescription for dutasteride if you buy yourself.  once again, fully legal outside of the medical system's gatekeeping

if you want general feminization but no breast growth, take raloxifene or another SERM alongside it.  super common for T-dominant individuals to take as well as E-dominant individuals (often prescribed as part of a treatment regimen for breast cancer)
