These days are way too hot for self-bondage or fetish dresses but as I said, I am a musician and quite interested in Indian music. Now, I came accross a website talking about how to make simple bamboo flutes. One great Indian instrument is the Bansuri, exactly the same design.
So I got me a gas torch, sand paper, an old phillips screwdriver shaft and a wooden handle to hold it (must be heated until it glows) and a fiber glass arrow that I glued some sandpaper to, for sanding the inside and started to make my own flute.
As it turns out, the manual part is quite easy. You need to cut a piece of bamboo to the required length, one side right after the section end, so it is closed, and if the length goes over more than one section of the bamboo stick, you have to open the wall between the sections and sand it straight. Then you heat the "drill" (in my case the phillips screwdriver shaft) until it glows and make holes in the right places. Sand, and finish.
A bit harder is the playing, you have to learn how to produce a tone, it is similar to blowing over a bottleneck, but requires more precision. This is a prerequisite for the hardest part.
The hardest part is the intonation, i.e. getting all tones to be in tune. There are lists on the internet for the rough positioning of all holes. But these take into account that once you have made a hole, you can make its tone higher but not lower, so the positions are all flat and the hole sizes have to be tuned to obtain the correct pitches. In the second worst case, this can result in giant holes, in the worst case probably, some holes would even have to overlap which means, that you need a new flute.
I have mastered the easy part, I am getting good enough at the second part and now I am fighting with the last part, the tuning. It will probably require more than one flute to get it right.

My flute is as large as the one the guy is using after the first few seconds, before, he has a larger one. My plan is to make such a larger one eventually - I like the sound (and my neighbours will like it more than the smaller one too 😁 ). Such a larger flute is used here:
I've been looking for a way to allow for very secure self-bondage, for a reasonable period of time, but with a "safety exit" to discourage breaking the rules.
Ice locks have a couple of drawbacks:
* you need to plan ahead
* Many techniques are a little messy
* I worry about releases getting "stuck"
* The release time is unpredictable (I know, sometimes that is more fun but not always)
* some clean-up may be required to get back to visitor-ready neatness.
My scene idea is to be stuck in a room, with the keys to my restraints outside of the room. The door isn't locked, but there is a penalty (setting off a very loud alarm) for opening it ahead of the allowed time.
Equipment needed:
1 small door-mounted security alarm (there are many available for prices starting at US$10). I recommend one with a 9V battery power, which can be replaced with an external AC adapter.
1 digital AC power control (Many to choose from, name-brand ones sell for US$24 or less)
1 AC-to9VDC adapter (you likely have a couple lying around in the gadget drawer, if not, they can be found in any electronics store for a few dollars.
1 small lamp - any table or desk lamp will do.
1 table radio or other music player of your liking.
Preparation:
Place the keys to any restraints you will be using in a place where you will be able to easily find them once you are allowed out of your "cell".
Connect the AC adaptor and lamp to the digital timer.
Set the current time/date on the timer.
Set an "on" cycle for the timer, perhaps 15 minutes from now.
Select and "off" time of your preference. (you will be "in jail" until the "off" time arrives.)
Take your (unlocked!) restraints into your "cell" and close the door.
Wait until the timer goes "on" - you will see the lamp go on, and/or you will hear the music from the radio come on.
Restrain yourself at your liesure, knowing you are NOT going to be able to undo anything until your "sentence" is over.
If you are going to be blindfolded, make sure you can hear the radio, else you will not know when your "sentence" is over.
Should there be an emergency, or the bondage is just more than you can handle, you simply have to open the door (and set of the OH GOD IT'S REALLLY LOUD!!!!! alarm) and get the keys to your restraints.
Otherwise, you have to stay in your cell, cuffed or bound, gagged or blindfolded, until the light/music outside turn off, announcing the completion of your "sentence"
I know this could be improved a lot, and once of the ideas I have tried to figure out is if you could let an online friend be the "warden", selecting your sentence and releasing you early for good behavior, or adding extra time for being uncoooperative.

Well, that dress was tailored for me (typical way of buying stuff online from India and the stitching is really cheap - women, no kids!), I had measured myself for hours and was quite successful even. The material is cotton, but quite different from typical t-shirt cotton, it doesn't stretch at all. Now for the past time announced:
Putting on the pants proved impossible, I should have gotten the ends of the legs wider. I actually got in after 5 minutes of struggle, but damaged the cloth when pulling it off again. It can be fixed, but doh!
There was another challenge waiting for me, that I was aware of, but I hesitated for a while, then got a shower (sweaty skin, no matter if wet or dried, sticks a lot to cotton) and ready for the Kameez-Limbo 😊 The Kameez (shirt) is made of cotton, non-stretchable and has a zipper on the back. The sides are open from the hips down and therefore the zipper can be relatively short. Putting it on wasn't too hard, just took a bit of time. My measurements were perfect, snug fit, I can move freely and it looks good (without any effort to look feminine) - well, a bit unusual on a man but who cares. So not really a challenge and I was glad that the package wasn't a complete desaster after all 😊
Limbo? Yep, when taking it off. While putting it on, the arms easily slide in provided the armholes aren't too small (had that on another cotton top with long sleeves, that cracked on the attempt). but when taking it off, you need to pull the sleeves off as well. Hands up to make the chest small enough to get through the hip-line, it is quite a task, I tell you 😊 On the other hand, wearing such a garment is a very special feeling. Taking off a lycra or even rubber leotard, easy. Taking off expensive tights - just like that (snatch). Taking off this Kameez or similar garments, that's like peeling out of rope bondage, except that if you peel too hard, you need a tailor. (In the meantime, I noticed that the zipper was only halfway open, it is much easier to take it off now that I know. )
Well, this is not really my new favorite past-time, and I will adjust my measurements a bit for the next order because this was meant to be a pajama and I haven't got the time in the morning. But - ok, I think I said that already... Comes close to lockable clothes, except that you can't really tell the risk of getting stuck - my constant game with rope bondage, so not bad, but nice 😊

Hi, I can't remember where I read about this, but somewhere I saw the idea of using electro shock for invisible fences.
There are these systems using a necklace and an emitter that covers a range of up to 5m. When ever the pet runs into this area, it gets a slight electro shoc, that becomes stronger the closer it gets, to keep it away.
One could also place a key for the bondages near it and connect it to a timer-switch. The author of the article stated, that it is almost impossible to reach close enough to get the key without being punished painfully.
I could also think about modifying the system, maybe to keep someone in inside an area (reversing the effect) or to combine it with other toys.
A neat but quite advanced idea would also be to create a little challenge: Reach certain areas chosen by a computer program in a certain amount of time while bound (maybe hogtied? 😁) or they will be punished...
The article got links to shops selling these pieces however only in USA.
