I have seen a few posts by Culmor, I posted some, but apart from that, the forum seems deserted. I am particularly worried about Likera, because he hasn't shown up for ages here. On the other hand, I can see that posts are being read (numbers going up), so there must still be some people interested in the subjects here, but they don't post. It has never been extremely busy here, but the last two weeks or so are pretty much dead.
This is a new attempt to introduce my sari fetish on this board. I like to wear saris, both, in complete women style, and in some slightly modified styles to match my male body a bit better. I haven't made any acceptable pictures yet, but they will follow while I still have the camera.
A sari is a traditional Indian garment that was created thousands of years ago. It consists of a single piece of cloth, usually silk or cotton, these days about 5 yards long and 1 yard wide, that is wrapped around the body in artful ways to create a beautiful dress. Ancient styles covered the legs and hips only, documents and sculptures show, that saris were worn by men and women alike, only in slightly different styles. Today, saris are officially worn by women only and for modesty reasons, come with a petticoat underneath and a small top that covers the breasts but usually leaves the navel free. For men, the inheritance is the dhoti, which is a smaller piece of cloth wrapped around hips and legs. Women's saris are often decorated with paillettes, small mirrors, embroidery and printed or woven patterns. Mens dhotis are usually white, with one or two coloured stripes and sometimes a border on the long sides.
Now for the cool men in saris:
Except for the bandana on his head, the first guy is wearing the sari in the Nivi-style, which is the most common style for women these days. He is even wearing the typical blouse. Clearly cross dressing, but he still looks like a man.
Not sure about the second picture, this could woman. I added this one to show, how friendly saris can be to any body shape. Even fat women look great in saris, if they know how - but I didn't find a suitable image.
Now, how to acquire a sari fetish?`I am not sure, how it happened, I first liked the look of women in saris, I like the idea of a slightly restricting garment - which is not true unless you wrap it so - and I do like silk and smooth cotton cloth. Furthermore, I like the Indian cloth patterns. That is enough reason to be interested in saris. Eventually, I found my mother's sari in the attic and experimented with some wrapping. I had no clue how to wrap a sari, but it was fun and I discovered that I liked this game. And it was very arousing too, I had to be careful not to come into the cloth.
In order to explain, how saris and SB come together, I will tell you how to wrap it first: One end is wrapped around the hips once, to form a skirt. The other end is thrown over the shoulder and can be draped in various ways, usually covering both breasts as well. The part in between is pleated and the pleats tucked into the waist line from where the cloth falls down. Apparently, the skirt part can be wrapped more or less tightly, you could even tie your ankles together first, then wrap up to cover the whole body. You can even include the arms, if you have a suitable surface to "rub" the cloth tight. Of course, it can't be tied securely around the arms without the help of someone else, but as long as you lie flat, it won't let you move your arms. Of course the head can be wrapped as well. There is a lot of cloth to be spread over the body and if you tuck away the ends, it can feel quite secure. In traditional wrapping styles, saris are a bit like full body harneses. Every movement is communicated along the cloth and back to your body. Combined with the tendency to fall apart if you don't maintain the wrap, this can be quite interesting also in bondage.
If this sounds interesting to you, you can start with a simple bed sheet, which is too short for a real wrap, but enough to make a dhoti or a basic sari-style mummification. For the real thing, look on ebay. There is a huge selection starting at prices around 10 Euros. I have also ordered some from India, with pre-stitched blouse to measurements. It costs more from India, but the same quality of cloth would be twice or three times the price in Europe. A petticoat is very helpful for learning the wrapping styles, but not really needed. As I said, petticoats were introduced for modesty reasons, probably when the British colonised Asia. The blouse isn't necessary either, but it helps maintaining the wrap, and the pallu - the part of the sari that is falling freely over one shoulder - is often fixed to the blouse with a safety pin. There are lots of wrapping instructions on the internet. If that is not enough or if you want to know a particular style, send me a private message.

Hey everyone I've browsed through pretty much everything on Likera and it's all pretty great information. I've been visiting this site periodically for the past several years or so and I've always been interested in self bondage and I've played around with it somewhat but I figured I'd document my current self bondage scenario I'm planning out and I'd be grateful for any ideas, concerns, or comments anyone has about it.
I'm younger then some but of course of legal age in my jurisdictional. Throughout my high school years I often fantasized about various aspects of BDSM and wished to explore them but never did. I'm in college now pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems and don't have much time for stress relieving activities such as selfbondage(it is for me at least) but I'm making the effort to solidly plan out several fun and safe scenarios. Enough with the boring info about me let us move onto the fun subject of self bondage.
What I have in mind for this first scenario is a classic bed bound spread eagle facing upwards(of course😊) scene. This scenario is mainly just for fun the get into the flow of things and start off slow and I plan to work towards fun positions such as extreme hogties, ball ties, chair ties, and others. I've already put use to many of the helpful methods posted on this site such as the ice padlocks, as well as pantyhose(I've already tried the armbinder, amazing!💓 )

A couple questions I have regarding this scenario is how to properly tie my wrists and ankles while being tight and restrictive. I have experimented with SRDs in the past and I have a tough time tying them off and keeping them tight. I figured I would lay on my bed with ropes tied to the bed legs pulled onto the bed. I would then lay as for the scenario(Spread Eagle) and stretch each limb to a fun but not too uncomfortable extent. Then mark with a sharpie on the rope where my wrist or ankle stretched to. Then I would tie the loops for the locks onto the ropes and remove up to possibly 1-2 inches in the slack to provide a tight bind. Any idea's on this? I plan on using fairly standard leather cuffs which should provide enough pressure displacement evenly to keep my wrist's circulation from being cut off. I plan on using tied rope cuffs for my ankles as I currently do not have a leather pair but I'm looking into several different sets and should have them soon enough. I plan on using the Ankle rope cuffs described here. Would this tie be fine for this scenario or would it put too much pressure on my ankles? Would the Single Limb Cuff be more suitable? If so do you have any ankle rope ties that could suffice? Also do you think sensory deprivation would compliment this scenario or not? By this I mean earplugs and an effective blindfold. I kind of want to see how I look tied down with The Gates of Hell on.....Hmmm what to choose, your opinion on sensory deprivation? Also I was wondering if anyone had any idea of a basic ice/time formula, as I plan to be in this position for 1-2.5 hours I need to figure out how many FL OZ this would require. FYI my house is a constant 70-75F but can be lowered or raised to my liking. There is next to no humidity here unless it's a rainy day which does not happen often as monsoon season has already passed. I'm also debating using a gag for this scenario as well. I have used belts and straps, duct tape, and pantyhose before. I plan to get a 2" ball gag soon or a penis gag but until the meantime I will have to manage. If anything I would use a pantyhose condom gag along with duct tape. Any problems with this? Thanks in advance for all your replies.

You might have noticed that I like capes, especially my new yellow pvc cape. Here is my cape history (including a few ponchos) which I will spice up with images later.
My first cape was not a cape but a rain poncho for bikers, shoulder part with hood, a wide front panel and a smaller back panel. It was made from the classical strong and rubberised raincoat fabric. I used this cape in some SB sessions, but at that time, I had much more interesting rain coats of similar material. Eventually, this cape vanished into thin air.
Then I had a time, when I often went to sex shops to look around, and saw a great rubber cape, buttoned in the front and very slim cut, even the hood was pretty small. The price was outrageous and so I could only dream of it. I think, I had a real rain cape after that poncho, but I can't remember, it can't have been that interesting for my special desires.
In the 90s of last century, I got my first real rain cape and I still have it. It has a nice rubbery inside, jeantex outside and is long enough to conceal light bondage even in public.
Six years ago roughly, I found a cape on the internet, heavy rubberised dark blue cloth, small hood with drawstring and very very long. The front is closed with stud buttons. Inside this cape, I feel cut off from the rest of the world. By the view, this cape is clearly "scene gear" and would easily fit into a music video of Lady Gaga. Not suitable to be worn in public by average people.
In the same time period, I started riding my racing bike again and bought a few more capes and ponchos for practical use, always hoping to find a cool one too. I still have some one-way plastic capes, a shiny blue pvc cape which is torn at the collar by heavy use in bed and a poncho made from an odd wrinkled material which became my standard rain gear for biking because it is very tiny and light when folded. In the rare case that I wear a helmet, the hood goes underneath.
So, until last week, I had the following:
Blue lightweight poncho with hood, no drawstring
Shiny blue deranged pvc rain cape for bikers
Transparent-yellow one-way plastic cape, still originally packaged. These are sold in tourist areas and during open-air events, pretty crappy and I only keep it for memory.
Dark blue very long heavy cape, small hood with drawstring, stud buttons all the way down, no openings for hands.
Except for the last one, they go just below the hands.
Some of you might have noticed, that I have a new cape, a shiny yellow pvc cape that goes far below my knees - about the middle between knees and feet. I wear this a lot at home and I really enjoy it. Before last night, I had a walk with it and I want to make this cape my standard rain gear for walks and the like, perhaps even on the way to and from work, time will show.
Now, there is one silly thing about rain capes, other than those for biking: They are considered evil fashion crimes and those crimes are supposed to be committed by women only. However, I doubt, that many "normal" people ever think about rain capes and they will do, what they always do when they see something that is beyond their understanding: They will ignore it.

Not related - cotton all the way, but since I have the camera - Indian outfit, called Churidar (tight pants) Kameez (shirt - I wonder if the French "chemise" is the original or derived from this word) - tight pants, tunique and scarf, made to size for me - and this image came out pretty well. And as you can see, it makes me so mad, that I got red eyes:
Ok, I have spent so much time with my pvc stuff, I am going for a walk, in that Indian tunic, Cape on top and a coat in between. The rest will be completely normal clothes, the main reason is to get used to wearing a long yellow pvc-cape in public - and fun of course.

The walk wasn't too special although there were some people in the streets. At first, I didn't want to get near anybody else, but after a while, I was ready for that too. But it didn't happen. A few cars passed me, but that's not the same. I feel confident enough to take a walk in a more busy situation, but not near my home, I don't want to run into family or friends yet, this is for later. By the way, after a little while, I started to interact with the cape. This is hard to explain, some sort of repeated redraping. And, last comment, a pvc cape is warmer than I thought. I didn't wear gloves, but my hands didn't get cold at all. This was astonishing, because I also tried the cape for sleeping, and it was not too warm. When trying to sleep in pvc clothes, I start sweating after a few minutes only.
How often do you fall in love with a fetish item? Well, probably not love as described in great literature or by popular philosophers of the last century, but something clearly affectionate, beyond simple sexual reactions: Focussed mind, weird feelings in the stomach etc., pretty much like a teenager in love. Clearly between what love is to some guys and what love to another person really should be. I think, this happened to me three times.
The first time, it was a simple skirt, long, slim, grass-green, stretchy and a bit shiny. It was the way it hugged my legs, gently keeping them together a bit, also the colour and shininess and possbly the fact that it was my very first experience in wearing a skirt at all. This skirt had to go in a panic situation where I dropped it in the garden and someone must have taken it away before I came back, so I never got bored of it.
The second one was not as intense as the skirt, but lasted much longer. This was a simple green cotton(!) gymnastic body, quite similar to the one of Lara Croft in the first Tombraider games. I had it on whenever possible until it eventually fell apart.
I did and do have more items, that I like a lot: I have a synthetic leather skirt which like a lot, it is like a good friend, and recently I got a great rain cape made from rubbery and slightly stretchy pvc, that I wear as often as possible. But this is not the same, at least one level less.
Skirt and body are both about 20 years ago, I never had similar affection with any fetish item since. I also didn't feel teenage love for girls that strong anymore, though stronger than for any item that I had later. I thought that this affection was a typical teenage experience until a few days ago:
Yesterday, I found this very coat in a department store and tried it on. It is not perfect for men but very nice fit, very soft inside and the strong but soft outside cloth that I like so much - including the typical smell. They didn't have it in the right colour (I wanted black) and so I checked on ebay and other places, finally found a used one for half the price and ordered it. Now I hope that it will be here as soon as possible. Seeing this coat for the first time, and then again in the department store, had a sledge-hammer effect on me, basically, I had no choice but buying one. If this happened to me more often, I would be bankrupt constantly. I wonder, if this is how women do shopping 😁
