The weirdness continues. I did not change anything, but the messages suddenly appeared along with the 5th page! I deleted the test ones and the 5th page disappeared again.

and when I click the green arrow to go to first unread, always starts at page 1, not page 4 as listed

left site for about 10 mins, still pressing green arrow only goes to page 1 in that thread, and only showing page 4 , post #40

Looks like it's working now. The solution was to "Rebuild Thread Counters".

Just in case, I rebuilt other counters as well.
