I'm surprised that the crotch band and waist band did not arrive as 2 pieces though. Would have made the box a lot smaller... And storing it easier.
I guess they are riverts at the back of the belt, not little nuts and bolts.

Yes, several rivets, hence the crotch part does not rotate against the waist band. The shipping box is about 10cm high.

Looks nice, but not very practical, in my opinion. It sticks out too much, and I'm not sure it's tight enough to prevent pulling out, especially if you are a "grower".

I have one with the integrated lock. Much neater but mine can be a bit tight to get it on and off as the lock needs to align perfectly!
The inserts I have tried have always been uncomfortable. I have a flexy tubed one and an solid curved one... neither lasts more that a few minutes before it has to come back out.
