Questionable Posts on this Website (Children, adults, fetish, bondage)
#1
If I understood it correctly, this forum is meant to be a place with an open spirit and no restrictions to behaviour or expressions of thoughts. Furthermore, it seems, that common sense is working pretty well and while certain borders might have been scratched eventually they have never been passed. So far, I believe, that posters, no matter if logged in or as guest, adhere to the motto "safe, sane, consensual", at least, when it is about other people.

Today, I was a bit concerned by a post in the blog by "Warren Pond", claiming that he puts his daughter into a monoglove to improve her posture and for punishment. I don't believe him, but I don't like the sound of his post, especially not on a website about self-bondage and bdsm, where "punishment" and "posture" are typical keywords. Like-Ra made another comment earlier, in the same place, but that was clearly a joke. Now, imagine, Warren Pond would go on about his subject and make it a scary scenario, claiming, this was real... He didn't yet, he might not intend to, he might not even be aware of the offensive nature of his post. Just a game of thoughts to show, what could theoretically happen on this website.

Hmmm, I actually laughted about a nasty cartoon in "Mad", where parents were caught in the act by their children and then all had sex with each other, concluding, that they should come together more often. But that was clearly Mad's sledge-hammer irony. I also don't mind, if people talk about creepy self-torture or playing with excrements, although I would probably skip quite a bit of that. But as soon as reality seems to get beyond "sane, safe, consensual", I am on red alert, and I hope, that all registered users of this website are feeling alike.

And I wonder, if Warren Pond will ever explain himself a bit more.

The questionable post is here: http://www.likera.com/blog/wp/archives/4...ment-89911

There is no relation to the story in Mad, it is related to a pink monoglove.

Well, at the moment, I am more confused about the new blog entry, lots of pictures of bound child twins in China. Ok, the story is not about fetish, it is about a helpless father who sees no other means to protect his daughters from hurting themselves. But all these images - "likera.com now with pictures from tied up children - hooray" ??? - certainly not. But what a perfect timing!

Just to give a bit different perspective. I do have some thoughts about the hysteria about children and fetishes of adults. See the difference? Sometimes adults see sexually related stuff in something that does not contain it (sometimes a banana is just a banana). Sometimes the double moral does exactly the opposite and legally exploit children in the areas where they do not belong.

See the beginning of the story here: http://www.likera.com/blog/wp/index.php?...ornography

The thing is, I'm not afraid of talking about the NO!NEVER! subject - children, sexuality, fetish, etc. I'm strictly against any exploitation, but there must be some "common sense" and publicly available "discussion areas".

See also self-bondage, fetish and children thread: http://www.likera.com/forum/mybb/showthread.php?tid=76

I will try to explain my position in another couple of articles.

"Common sense" tells me a website publishing material (even fantasy or newsreel material) about bound children is something I should give a very wide berth. As others have written, remember 'safe, sane, consensual'? Minors by definition cannot give consent.

I find the idea of
Quote:"likera.com now with pictures from tied up children...(sic)
genuinely disturbing.

You guys still do not understand the reasons... I don't know how else I can explain.

OK, just a brain dump. Have you seen these posts:

Do you have children?

What is fetish?

When (at what age) are kids allowed to wear and why?

o- white shirts
o- sweaters
o- white tights
o- nylon tights
o- knee highs
o- swimsuits
o- leotards with tights
o- high heels
o- corsets
o- leather trousers
o- wet-look leggings
o- latex

What photos of kids can be considered pornographic?

Since what age the kids are aware of their sexuality?

Since what age do you think kids know how to find sexually oriented materials on the Internet?

What if kids find your secret tool box?

Since what age your kids know what naughty stuff you've got?

Since what age kids begin to think about sex with another person (not autoerotic fantasies)?

What do kids associate with sexuality?

How is it different from the adult point of view?

I have a daughter and a son. What should I "allow" them and why? What am I "allowed" to tell them and why? What if they ask?

Today I've heard from my kids that one "boy" filmed a drunk pair "enjoying" each other at a party and sent the video to everybody he knows and uploaded it on the Inet. The whole school knows. The friends of friends of friends know. They all are 15yo.

I've hesitated over my response, but have to speak my mind:

I'm very uncomfortable with the post becuase of it's context

If this was in a newspaper or a TV news report, the story would be simple and seen for exactly what it is, but when on a website with the subjects we discuss it suddenly becomes much more serious.

In an understanding community, with people who can tell the difference between a news story and a darker issue this wouldn't be a problem - but we live in world where there are elements who would see everyone conform to their idea of 'normal' and for those who didn't to be punished for their deviation (it has happened many times before and we all know the horrific consequences of these people gaining power)

I fear that such an innocent post 'could' bring unwarranted attention and serious consequences...

I truly hope I am wrong and that the world is a more sensible place than I believe it to be... pass me that sodium chloride dispenser

Madjack, you touched a very interesting subject I did not mention yet - the context. And the most interesting thing about the context, is that the meaning of context is different for different psychological (or personality) types (16 in total).

Examples of situations and how different types react:

1. A shouts at B.

- shouting is never appropriate, regardless the situation (context)
- in some cases you must shout at the guilty person
- shouting is a compensating and steering method of expressing emotions

2. A lies to B.

- lying is bad regardless the situation (context)
- lying is necessary if it helps other people
- lying is one of the methods to encourage or discourage a person, a natural method of manipulating people

3. Term A has many definitions

- not possible, every term must have only one stable definition
- terms may have as many definitions as required by context

4. 2 x 2 = 4

- always true, regardless the context
- in a sex forum that means two swinging pairs, in a bondage forum - 2 winds of rope, criss-cross, two winds of rope and 4 winds of rope around legs, in a humour forum - old joke, in a business forum - it depends on if we buy or sell...
- what?

And now something NOT related to the psychological types:

5. A banana is

- a fruit
- ...

Got the idea?

The problem is that it is all too easy to attract the wrong kind of attention -- the legalese kind, that is. Even when the intentions are pure.

Oh yeah, of course. It reminds me the internal policy of two countries (USSR and USA): not mentioned in the news, not openly discussed - the problem does not exist. Hence, do not mention.

Bullshit. The adults have aeady intruded into the life of juveniles and under-aged, but now they refuse to take any responsibility for that. Nobody wants to discuss this subject because of pure fear. Stupid taboos (taboo is prohibition with no explanation) is a case of the so called "monkey syndrome" (I do because everybody does this).

As I said, I have two kids. We are open and fair and I want to know how to correctly speak to them to not to make them "close". We want to let them know that we love them and we are always available to help regardless the subject. There are no taboo's in questions and no taboo in help.

Personally, I'm more disturbed by all this ruckus. Armbinder is a tool. Rope is a tool. Putting someone in armbinder is not sex. Have we to drop using diapers 'cause they are part of Adult Baby Fetish? As about consenting to it... "Children in uniforms are forced to undergone group activities under grown-up dominating supervision" is just another name for "School".
Safe, sane and consensual applies not only to sex, but to real life too, so, please, don't go insane. I'm with LikeRa on this one.

By the way, I think that any protests against any content are based on firsthand knowledge about its stimulating effects... "Questionable" mean that there is a question, and any question contain part of an answer...
