Not quite related to hypnosis, but related to the reality perception and psychiatric diagnosis.
Are you sure you can convince psychiatrists, that you are "normal" and "sane": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosenhan_experiment
Quote:The study concluded "it is clear that we cannot distinguish the sane from the insane in psychiatric hospitals"

I would maybe take slight issue here, but, as I said it's the synchronistic feel that matters here (for me) not so much a need for exact conceptual congruity since all of our personal views are colored by our socialization/searching perspectives.
I don't differ with your other assessments but tend to consider egregores as being more 'special interest coalescences' in the collective unconscious. At least among humans and other meta-cognitive beings.
Meta-cognitive meaning the capability to reflect on the content of our inner experiences. This is a personal view for my own convenience in separating specific areas of personal inner observation versus the vast ocean of experience contained the entire collective unconscious.

Think of egregores of the gut bacteria, liver cells, carrots, seagulls, humankind, Lichtenstein, Microsoft, karate clubs, Swifties, feminization, Reiki, Manchester United, bondage, Christianity, rock-concerts, this site, etc. Then think of egregore hierarchies.

I once had an dream of a tentacle monster plugging into holes in the wall, like an old switchboard operator. Only instead of conecting phone calls, it was experiencing a particular moment of someones life. Each row would be a person, each column a second forward in thier life.
It would / could connect to multiple simultaneously, and just be an operator for "the great machine". Even 5th dimensional beings have a 9-5

Seems a practical, if tediously executed, metaphor for accessing Akashic records. Acknowledging the need your subconscious has for using a tentacled monster to be able to 'keep up' with rendering the second-by-second connections to keep the replay flowing smoothly.
I've added wheels to its chair so it can move early down the switchboard line! Although I can't also help feeling that the operator is working its 9-5 in a definite sweatshop if it's handling my traffic 😂

Hang on... isn't it a representation of a "higher self" or a "guardian angel"? I "received" a similar image ("something" which is connected to multiple "personal bubbles", helping them with their progress).

So, all human beings are connected to egregores, various "superficial creatures", "guardian angels", each other, etc, so a helluva multidimensional tentacled monsters 😄

Yes, the great machine he was in charge of maintaining was the current universe. The '6th' dimensional being above him being his manager (it's turtles all the way down).
After some time has passed, it makes more sense to me now to imagine it as a bridgeway between universes. Essentially it is the creature carting my soul through the ether, monkey branching from one 'mindset(s)' to another.
