I am almost certain, that sooner or later I will order a monoglove from Ozbondage. I feel like buying one right away. So it is time to find out, how to take my measurements correctly and put them to a test. It is late, so rather brainwork than real doing right now:
The following measurements are not so easily be taken alone:
1 Circumference of both hands together at the widest part
2 Circumference of both wrists together
3 Circumference at elbows together
4 Circumference 3" above elbows together
1 is the easiest, I can use a tape measure and then reconfirm with a rope ring tied to exactly that size
2 is fairly easy, but it isn't possible to test a rope ring around the wrists, wouldn't come on. Instead, a sliding loop with a knot to stop it at exactly the correct size
For 3 and 4 I want to use a narrow-down process. Basically the same as 2, but I will have to guess a size, than shift the knot until it works. However, "3" above elbows" needs good control. It probably requires two mirrors and a lot of patience, as well as some chalk on a t-shirt with long sleeves.
I also just noticed some adhesive tape on my desk. It is quite weak, easy to tear apart. Perhaps this is the right "tool" to check the elbow and above elbow measurements. I would make rings in the expected size, but two stripes against each other, no adhesive exposed.
I consider making an escape knot on the test-rings for the elbows, just in case.
It would be nice if someone could reply to this tonight or very early tomorrow morning, so I will see this again under "new posts" and have a reminder to get started. So far, whenever I remembered this subject, I was either too tired or in the wrong mood. Reading this again will definitely help 😉
