Have a look at Balabolka. It's free and comes as a portable app.

So what are the challenges with plugins and voices like? Is it just a matter of money? Or are unique voices hard to find?

I havent had time to properly train & finetune the text2spech as i was bussy getting the patreon login integration right. this took way too much time, once the current integration is done i will allow bambis to use their favorite bambi voice & finetune their own voices. this will be patreon only feature tough as tuning the voice is hard & to adress your questions bbygirl well its a question of money, most bambi sleep text is too long for the free versions of most tts voices available online. the best ones need to be loaded locally, like with instalation of a tts LLM model server & loading the model. ive been battling this for months now
That's why I'm looking for a good local voice model. Or a free public one.

I had a model which I wanted to use that could be fine-tuned using some recordings, but I can't find it anymore. You were able to run voice locally & then just feed it mp3 & it would sound alike. I dunno where it went or what it was called though, which makes me very sad rn |
