Could you please try again? Now the thumbnails are loaded directly from the disk, around PHP and ModPagespeed processing, what is good for caching, speed and server load. But I'm still testing...

But please restart the browser and clean the cache.

After I changed the thumbnail processing, I'm getting two different results for page 11:

o- My firefoxes show no processing from PageSpeed
o- GTmetrics sees PageSpeed processed page

I have no @#$%^&* clue why...

NOTHING in the logs.

Another strange thing, GTmetrics shows increased processing time, while in theory the processing time should be decreased.

Thread/page 1 - complete garbage and the problems I was experiencing before
Thread/page 2 - took a while to load but OK and readable
