    - at first glance this looks like an honest attempt to reach the keys that will free her. But what do the keys unlock? I see no padlock, just rope and buckled wrist cuff. Hmmm, nice idea, but not logically executed.

    - now this is more interesting. It seems our heroine has bound her wrists using some kind of electro-magnetic lock; at least that's my assumption for the wires and object taped to the chair. If anyone can track down more from this artist there may be a totally different story.

might be a locking cuff and we just cant see the padlock as it on the far side?

Caught in self-bondage

Yes - selfbondage - a little unlucky. She thought to be alone for a longer time. When she noticed noises she hurried to unlock her handcuffs - but in the stressful situation the box and the key fell down.
Until then nobody had known about her secrets
