I’m actually going though that right now. Last selfbondage session was about a year ago. I get bored when I can’t come up with new ideas. Hmm... I think that your poll is wrong. You don't assume that there are people who didn't purge at all.
I don't recall purging at any moment in the past. There were periods with more and less interest in different fetishes, but every time I was throwing something away was only due to lack of (safe) place to store it.
Also the question "Do you want to stop purging?" doesn't make sense - the moment you purge, you don't assume you will need those accounts/clothing/fetish gear anytime in the future (otherwise you wouldn't purge) and each purge is always the last one. Any other time between purges, you don't think you will purge anytime in the future.

I did purge a few times and always regretted it later so I learned my lesson and now I put stuff in storage in stead of throwing it out. Once in a while I do throw stuff out but only because it's broken, no longer fits or I have gotten similar in better quality and it's eating storage space. There is this idea in the back of my mind that I should do a selfbondage session with the stuff I'm about to throw away and destroy it during that session, crawling over rougher terrain, dropping the key in pantyhose so I have to rip them to get to it, threading a chain trough my clothing and locking myself outside to something so I have to rip some clothing to get free... There might be some fun left before "purging"...
