Probably right. However, I also noticed that when I like shows up in my notifications, it looks like I get in the tail end of things. So…. Yea.
I do get get my refund, but it does get annoying at times.
Let's move all the related posts to this thread, and keep the others on topic.
Ali introduced age verification today, at least for my country. Now I can't access anything interesting anymore. Verification seems to be done by some Israeli firm (.il domain) and asked for a selfie. I didn't do it.
Could you explain what that does? Is it a css rewrite? I use nuMatrix for ad blocking and I already have Magic CSS for css rewrite.
Well, with that custom filter you can view the "adult rated" items, but you no longer can add them to your cart.
All you get a pop-up that the item has been "discontinued".
It will be moved to the "expired items" list at the bottom of your cart with the additional info
"This item is unavailable due to age verification restrictions".
The "Buy now" button appears to be working and takes you to the checkout page, but I haven't tried to advance past that yet, since ordering a single item on AliExpress seems even more wasteful. I have no idea if they would still aggregate multiple orders into one shipping if you do it this way instead of using the shopping cart.
But it's even more likely they simply block the order at some point during the checkout process. If not right now, than in the near future for sure.
I don't think we can McGyver around this issue
