I could stand up in them in leant against a wall...was able to take the odd ...step

I am at this stage with ballet boots.

First time wearing ballet boots was quite difficult; I would easily cramp even when sitting/lying down. I can now wear them for a couple hours without a problem. Standing is quite a challenge.

I found actually wearing them to be not too bad... probably due to years of kneeling in white water canoes... short/tight calf muscles now 😟

On the subject of being able to walk in ballet heels I think these animations show it is possible:

       

It can also look very sexy! 

However, my own humble efforts will remain limited to very careful, slow and short walks in my 12cm heels!

I have walked in ballet boots.. for about 200 meters long.
Was a few years back. Took some training to get it done.
Was hard, very hard.. but worth it. The heels where rubbish tho, so there trashed. But whould love to do it again
