OK, how do you answer this question:

"Have you stopped drinking vodka every morning?"

Yes? No?

Errrmm... Yes?

My post featured 2 separate questions.
Indeed, the first one could be answered with a yes or a no.

The second question clearly asks for elaboration instead of a yes or a no reply.

On another note; I see the vote results clearly sway in a particular direction.

Ah, I see, group memberships are paid subscriptions ("We track your progress)! OK, I got it now. No more questions. Any other discussions about them make no sense anymore. They have a business model built around some claims, some of them are unprovable. An egregor, which feeds on sexual energy - not much different from pornhub with a claimed minus sigh in the front. If they do have a lucrative business, I can only applaud.

Can this one be considered the 3d:

Do you also want yes or no to this one? 😉
(08 Apr 2024, 14:23 )MIWSTIUS Wrote: My apologies if I hit a nerve there, not my intention - but reading your reply here, it kinda-sorta-seems I did?
Ah, missed another question 😉

How do you determine if you "hit a nerve"? By getting a detailed explanation why a question can not be answered with a simple "yes" or "no"? 😉

(08 Apr 2024, 14:23 )MIWSTIUS Wrote: But yeah, correct me if I'm parsing this wrong: Basically you're saying, you also abstain from masturbation, but different motivation.
Ah, another question, which can't be answered with yes/no, and I explained it here: https://www.likera.com/forum/mybb/Thread...9#pid72909
Anyway, I bet we perfectly understand each other 😊 Though, we can continue discussing logic and correct phrasing (I, actually, love it), it might move us further off-topic.

So, for "fap/no fap" ideas (or, rather, to orgasm or not), let's move to this thread: https://www.likera.com/forum/mybb/showth...p?tid=3250

For NoFap® stuff, let's continue here. I updated the thread name and the first post again to make it even more clear.

Side note: I think we need a separate thread/sub-forum on discussions, manipulations, and propaganda.

Mmm.... I think the best approach would be a multiple choice poll with the most important NoFap® statements. For example:

- Stop porn addiction
- Stop sex addition
- Stop compulsive sexual behaviour in general
- Stop masturbation (only)
- No more orgasms at all
- Semen retention is beneficial
- Sexual transmutation
- etc

Add whatever I missed. So, that's not quite simple... In this case, I would "check" several statements. See the poll questions in https://www.likera.com/forum/mybb/showth...p?tid=3250 - 21 multiple choice variants!

I disagree - because just like most realworld things in life, there are countless overlapping nuances and underlying motivations/agendas.

The point of the forum poll is indeed to simplify all that.

Again...the original post is just a single poll question; do you agree with the movement or not?

Well, they say it is about stopping Porn addiction. People involved in this program are called fapstronauts

there is even a reddit on it.

I suppose some of them must get something out of 'self control'

But for me, I prefer imposed control by my wife 😁
(I believe other key holder services are available)
Paid group membership?
Certified therapists do exist prior, so the porn addict pays either way to solve a genuine problem.

However, the actual issue I see with this as a movement is their "PR"; what some of their "ambassadors" profess online.
Those people are often piggy back riders, who are in fact in it, to profess their underlying hidden agendas - and therein lies the ugly truth imo.
