FYI, if you're on Linux Mint, like I am, a new flatpak release of RS came out today. It won't start on my machine. Do not upgrade.

What's linuxmint?  Just splurged on a couple toys:  18tb to feed this retroshare beast (mind the downtime about 1h ago), and a new high-powered nuc to maybe be a linux swiss army knife, RS included.  Haven't begun to research which to go with but 'proxmox' has crossed my screen a few times.

But spose - whole point of PM would be I could play around with mint+.  I welcome all advice which yays and which nays in the year 2025!

I've been using some variant of Linux since the '90s but I like Mint because it's easy to install and gets the job done without having to mess with it too much.
