Question about Retroshare. And yes I know it uses tor and I know very well what Tor is. The bandwidth or d/l speed on Retroshare just seems atrocious. I've been using it for a couple days. I am just trying to see if Retroshare is really that slow. Again I get Tor is slower but I am on extremely high bandwidth and Retroshare is operating almost at dial-up speeds.

I'm not too worried about it, I can exercise a bit of patience. Hey everyone. New to RetroShare program. I did set it up and i guess everything works, but i noticed one thing. The light for Thor outgoing OKAY is green, but I2P outgoing OKAY is black for me. Should i be concerned about this black light? If yes and it is crucial, how do i fix it?
FYI, if you're on Linux Mint, like I am, a new flatpak release of RS came out today. It won't start on my machine. Do not upgrade.
In case you've already upgraded and are stuck, here are steps on how to roll it back: https://itsfoss.com/downgrade-flatpak-packages/ (5 hours ago)NonBinaryBecca Wrote: FYI, if you're on Linux Mint, like I am, a new flatpak release of RS came out today. What's linuxmint? Just splurged on a couple toys: 18tb to feed this retroshare beast (mind the downtime about 1h ago), and a new high-powered nuc to maybe be a linux swiss army knife, RS included. Haven't begun to research which to go with but 'proxmox' has crossed my screen a few times. |
