I'm not sure if this is already answered somewhere in here, as I'm not even sure how best to describe what I'm trying to fix, so if it's already answered please point me in the right direction to the post and I will gladly delete this message or simply edit with a huge damn THANK YOU:

When you're in Files>Friends files, the Friends Directories is refreshing itself every couple seconds and saying Friends Directories [updating...], and it's making it almost impossibly to look through anything at all. Is there any way to slow the frequency, or even make it stop until the next time I launch Retroshare?
I've tried under Preferences>Files>Directories>Shared Directories, and changed "Auto-check shared directories every" to 60 minutes, but it has had absolutely no effect from what I'm seeing.

Sounds familiar. So far - I don't know how to change that.

This is for your own directories.

Ah, thank you, I'll go change it back then.

I would recommend opening an issue on the Retroshare Github. I did recently and got a reply that solved my issue (stuck at 30% loading).
Is there any guidance on how to set this up on a Mac buried in here somewhere? I tried to limp along with the Windows and Linux instructions, but it doesn't seem to work but provides no obvious complaints 😁

Download: https://retroshare.cc/downloads.html#mac
Setup: https://retrosharedocs.readthedocs.io/en...rst-steps/

Just create a Hidden/DarkNet/Tor identity.
For those who are running RS on Linux: is it possible to transfer your RS profile to a new machine by just copying over the entire .retroshare/ directory? Or will I have to make an entirely new profile?

I did that once. AFAIK, there is even a standard procedure for that.

This is a good start: https://retrosharedocs.readthedocs.io/en.../location/

Yeah you can move your .retroshare folder to wherever you wish and it will take your identity and friends with you.
Hey everyone! I recently deleted my Retroshare folder. It was portable version for Windows with Tor included. I decided to redownload it again, but got a problem. Am i missing something or i cant log in again in the same account? I have to create it again and add all friends?
