Long term gag

Anyone know of a good long term ballgag? I've used silicone and rubber gags like this. After about three hours these gags leave little cuts in the corners of the mouth.

There is a version of a ball-gag, where it sits on a sort of a short rod, so the ball is completely in your mouth, the straps do not have to be tight to keep it in. However, you still can spit it out. To prevent this, you can use a harness gag. I must agree with Likera, any type of ballgag that uses a strap, will leave marks or cuts if worn tightly for hours.

A short rod or dowel 4 to six inches pushed through a ball of your choice (Small hollow silicon juggling balls or pet throw balls work well) can be used for extended periods, held in place by a silk scarf, pantyhose, bandage or straps with little indentation on the face. Choose a smooth rod, plastic or metal, as even a smooth wood one will chafe as it gets moist from your saliva.

Don't overdo the size of the ball - cramp in your jaw is nasty!

I didn't try that yet.
Is there a chance that gag will be  shifted for 90deg inside a mouth and slide it to a throat ?

I can't guarantee anything. It all depends on the size and shape. Just try it with your hands untied 😉

That's what I was thinking might be possible as well, but it's quite tight and the ball is pretty large. I've used it once so far didn't cut the sides of my mouth at all.

You might also have a look at stuffed panel gags. They do not cut into the mouth corners, can be quite mouth filling, you can't spit them out, yet they are very comfortable and quite safe. Something like this: https://www.likera.com/blog/wp/archives/10060

I once had one like this. It was really comfortable, maybe a bit too comfy, because I wore it so long, the the leather had soaked up all moisture from my lips and they were stuck to it.
I was sharing kitchen and bath with other students back then, so there was no water in reach without leaving my room. I could only wet my lips with my tongue a bit, but not enough to get them completely unstuck and removing the gag was a bit painful.
Long story short, I'd go with a latex one next time...
