There is a warning, though:

I've actually used the Conditioning Control Panel, and I still have it installed on my PC. You don't actually need a paid subscription to use the software; paying just unlocks some extra features. If you want to play it safe, you can simply download the free version and use it completely offline.
Before coming across this Reddit post, I actually subscribed to their Patreon to try out those advertised extra features, but honestly, the results were pretty underwhelming. Given the security issues mentioned in this thread and my own lackluster experience, I definitely won't be subscribing again.
I've also tried a similar app—BambiWare, which is based on EdgewarePlusPlus. Both apps have their own pros and cons in terms of user experience, but since BambiWare is published by PlatinumPuppets, it feels a bit more trustworthy.
Ultimately, if you keep your PC disconnected from the internet right from the start and run them purely locally, I don't think there's too much to worry about with either app—at least you shouldn't have to worry about viruses or trojans.
