Well it since it was commissioned there's a great chance master is defined elsewhere.

As for 8.5 file, except for messed up level, I think it's intentionally messy and it's designed to blur the line between old self and Bambi so triggers will be set for both.

But the triggers pretty much do not work. Anyway, 8.5 sounds very awkward between 8 & 9, I think a separate list is needed for the noisy files. E.g. 8.5, Secret, and even Ziplock.
