Listened to it again (out of trancing session) just to confirm my first impression. I think my expectations were ratcheted up by the stern warning and to some extent the way it is discussed in various spaces. Not necessarily bad, just not as intense as I was expecting.

But I've been sliding down the bdsm/power play/patriarchy/misogyny/free use/no limits kink rabbit hole for over a decade now (am 31... was on IRC roleplaying far too young in hindsight), so a lot of what was said where things I aeady sexually enjoy/identify with. I am guessing that is not the case for many listeners.

It also does bring to mind the difference between fetishism and kink, perhaps. I definitely identify more with kink though this forum is seemingly oriented to fetishism. Though, there is obviously strong overlap in many instances and it seems hard to draw a bright line distinction.

Personally I take kink to be a broader spectrum, and fetishes specify sexual desire/inerest turning on specific objects/properties. But from a psychiatric perspective probably.
