The idea of binaurals is that he brain "generates" a new frequency which equals the difference between the left and right ear frequencies. In this example the difference is 4Hz (288 - 284), which is on the border between theta and delta rhythms. Have a look here: http://itsusync.com/different-types-of-b...beta-gamma

Actually, to hear binaurals you must use earphones.

The goal of my experiment is not just the 4Hz binaural, but also the used basic frequencies. 288Hz is the sacral chakra resonance, 284Hz is 285Hz (one of the Solfeggio frequencies) -1. I tried to use the pure Solfeggio tone (285Hz), but the resulting 3Hz was not very interesting for me. However, 4Hz freezes me in place, and I feel a strong resonance around the sacral (Svadhisthana) chakra.

I would recommend the gradual descent videos above to test the binaurals by yourself. And tibetan bowls to play with chakra resonances: https://www.youtube.com/user/templesounds/videos
Here's another one to test. At least for me it feels VERY strange:

.mp3   288L+284R+448M.mp3 (Size: 22.89 MB / Downloads: 324)
Compare it with this file:

.mp3   256L+260R+480M.mp3 (Size: 22.89 MB / Downloads: 311)

Where do you feel the resonances?
I'm doing my research for building hypnotic files. I'm aiming for 6hz binaural tones. That seemed to be the proper range for Theta brainwaves according to Wikipedia and some of the random YouTube videos I watched. In my noob wall-of-noise phase for creating my hypnosis files I've been grabbing background rumbly noises which appeal to me, and pushing the frequency of one ear up 6hz, so you get the binaural effect. Maybe I'm being naive about binaurals, but I liked the more interesting rumbles rather than pure tones. Hopefully they achieve the same effect.

I'm on a Mac using Garageband. I'm using the built-in plugin AUNewPitch and adding 78.35 "cents" which the online conversion calculators tell me equals 6hz. It sounds binaural-ish to me. I hope to have a published hypno file with binaurals soon. I'm still in the mixing/development phase. When I do it will be here: https://soundgasm.net/u/agardengate3

Edit: Binaural Beats version up now.
