Which kind of files are allowed to upload?
You can upload all files you want. For the most known filetypes/codecs we offer the possibility to stream it directly. Actually we are supporting the following filetypes/codecs for streaming:
Audio: MP3;AAC;Ogg Opus;WebM Vorbis;WebM Opus;WAV-PCM
Video: MP4; WebM; Ogg Theora
Docs: .html; .php; .txt
Up to which filesize can I upload my files?
The maximum file size is limited to 1 GB. Your files can be up to 10 GB without any restrictions if you let us convert them.
Are there any download speed limitations?
Currently there arent any limitations.
How long do you host my files?
Streamable files will be deleted after 60 days inactivity ( non streamable files after 30 days of inactivity )
Terms of Service
Openload reserves the right to remove any files that compromise the security of the server, use excess bandwidth, or are otherwise malignant. The following types of files may not be uploaded under any circumstances:
Files that infringe on the copyrights of any entity.
Files that are illegal and/or are in violation of any laws.

So, you know what happened with MediaGeek company (the owner of, for example, PornHub, Xtube, Redtube, youporn, tube8) - Paypal, VISA and MasterCard blocked payment and now they are, clearly in panic, actively (and very randomly) removing videos.
Any alternatives?

I know of a free video hosting site. @ Like Ra , how much hard drive space do you have with this server again??
Pornhub deleted all unverified content because apparently some people who were victims of child sexual abuse found videos of themselves on the site. Credit card companies found about it and, understandably, gave an ultimatum to PH. It seems like it's probably quite easy to become verified with PH, just need to upload a face pic with some hand written text of your username and "pornhub.com" on a piece of paper or on your body. Oh, and apparently your gender expression in the photo needs to match what you've entered in your account information.
@ ltxrob and @ madjack , do you both still have copies of your deleted content or is it all gone?

I may have the odd clip, but certainly not all of them. Didnt store them on pc for any longer than I needed to!! 😟

Possibly backed-up on some long ignored external drive or memory stick - a case of crossing fingers and trying to fire them up (and remember the passwords!)
The verification is the same for other sites - photo of yourself holding a card/sheet with your user ID, but I'm not comfortable with the security of these sites and with all the readily available facial recognition software... well, I'm not that brave.
Had I been presented with a 'verify yourself or we'll delete your content' message then at least I could have had the choice.
I have no time for the awful stuff that was behind the reported actions against these sites, so arguably my annoyance is a comparatively small price to pay... even if the nauseous material will almost certainly be available elsewhere a  eady.
