It's fair to say I don't hold a very high opinion of Boris Johnson but he's hit a new low.

A. The two things are not remotely comparable.
B. The Brexit vote was almost entirely about stirring up hostility to foreigners and 48% of the voters didn't buy it
C. The Brexit campaign was covertly funded by Russia. After the vote the former Russian ambassador Aleksandr Yakovenko was quoted:

eady in my country, and they are very welcome, because we know how is it to be in that position. BTW, during Serbian aggression on Bosnia we have accepted 500 000 refugees. However, there are less then 4 mil citizens of Croatia. Our hearts are bigger than f... "mother Russia"

It's clear what Putin is wanting - the Soviet Union back. He laments the fall of the USSR as "greatest catastrophe", later when in power invades Georgia, interferes in Ukraine in 2014, and now invades Ukraine. If left unchecked he will attack other breakaway independant nations from USSR. in order to try have the USSR back.
We CANNOT allow that to happen. Not just for the world's sake, but even the Russian people's sake. Those under 30 won't know what it was like. I have Russian friends who fled the USSR (and friends who fled Putin!).

meat-free is good. But Russian fertilizers are not brought to Europe. Ukraine made almost all the oil and wheat for Turkey and Europe. In Ukraine, fields cannot be used, there are mines there now. it takes a lot of time to remove them all. Where will Europe get food this year? Do you have any stock?

Russian soldiers prevent evacuation of people from Mariupol (they just shoot them) in the Ukraine direction. Instead, they take them to Russia, confiscate their Ukrainian passports, and send them to a kind of concentration camps. I wonder if Russian government intentionally copies German nazis from 85 years ago.
