I really like Ra's technique.

I've tried something similar, using a police nightstick bolted to a sawhorse. When the sawhorse is upright, the tip if the nightstick comes a little below my navel, if I'm standing flat-footed.

I tilt the sawhorse enough to align the nightstick so that it's even with my anus. I bend over a little and let the stick slip in. Then gently and ever so carefully, I shuffle backwards with the tiny steps that my bound ankles will allow. As the sawhorse and nightstick become upright, the nightstick penetrates about 5-6 inches. I have to stand with my heels a little off the floor to relieve the pressure.

I use an ice lock and solid rope ties to bind my hands behind my back. The sensation is amazing and until the ice lock thaws, there is no getting off the device. I just focus on standing up very straight and the delightful ripples of sensation that happen as I move to balance.

But, Ra's technique with the bedstead is safer. From the pictures, it looks like the horizontal bar across the top of the bedstead will prevent over-penetration and a nasty injury. It looks like you could just focus on the sensations and not worry so much about getting seriously hurt.
