I bought this suit for about 15€ (including shipping!) and it feels absolutely wonderful. I've worn it for the larger part of yesterday and I did a self bondage session with it. For the bondage I used this technique minus the lock to tie my hands. Instead of the lock I pulled the end of the rope into my self bondage tube where my fingers can't reach it.

I did my very best to get out but I was stuck for over half an hour until the ice lock released.

This video is a lot more basic than The Librarian but that one was a shit ton of work. I do have some days off beginning of July so maybe I should do another request...

I guess it was a tight fit, being designed for the female form(?,) do you think the seams will last ok? (Although, at these prices, you could buy several for the cost of a night out.

It fits surprisingly well, I little bit tight around the upper legs, a little tighter still around the shoulders and upper arms but nothing uncomfortable. The fabric is really stretchy, good stuff. More like a soft swimsuit than what they sometimes use for cheap leggings. Good stretch in all directions but the print does fade a bit when stretched hard. It's good quality sewing as well, I'm really surprised about the quality, especially for that price. I expect it to last a long time, I struggled around in it on the mattress and no sign of fluffing or any damage whatsoever. Stuff from Aliexpress can be hit or miss but I'll definitely order one of the other prints as well.

I ordered a size L, I'm 178cm tall, chest: 98cm, waist: 87cm, hips: 97cm and it fits really well. I'm naturally rather skinny but put on a bit of muscle, 81kg is a bit much according to the BMI but as you can see I'm not fat. If you have a beer belly there will be no hiding in that costume 😁

About the "device". A longer pipe would create a some sort of strappado. Tying the pipe to the waist would create a very restricting bondage device. But pulling the tightening rope seems quite difficult.

I'm not using a longer pipe because it makes the position very uncomfortable fast and I don't know up front how long I will be stuck. In some extreme cases the ice lock did not freeze nicely and releases after e few minutes but it can also last over an hour. 99% of the times it is between 30 and 45 minutes. Imaging having to hold a straining strappado for half an hour. Tying it to the waist I did with a shorter tube and then putting my legs in a frogtie. In the video above it was 34 minutes between the point of no return (knot out of reach in the tube) and release, the last few minutes were not that fun anymore. I'd do more challenging positions if I was sure I could get out after 5 minutes or so.

I love the simplicity and inescapability of it all - lessons to be learnt when compared to some of my more complicated set-ups that are inevitably prone to failure!  😁

That cosplay suit is a real find! Such a good price and fit - wow! And another 'wow' for having the figure to make it look so good too!

I understand the dilemma of wanting a self-bondage session to last only for as long as it is fun - I've been stuck in a position that became painful, fortunately only for around 5 minutes, but those last minutes where really unpleasant.

Surprised at the variance in timing for an ice melt release - obviously the ambient temperature will be a factor, but it sounds as if even when that is a constant you can still experience quite a significant maximum/minimum helplessness time.... interesting.

Its a curse for any self-bondage player - you want to be helpless, but you also need to be able to get free when the fun stops. Emergency release options aren't always possible or even practical, so you should (must?) always play safe and either keep the bondage easy and comfortable or else very short duration.

Yes there is indeed a certain satisfaction to be had from simplicity. Going trough an extensive and complicated setup or scenario takes a lot of time and often it does not work perfect, or not at all, which sucks a lot. If you went trough the additional work to setup lights and camera then it can be a very disappointing experience.

I've been DYI-ing bondage stuff a lot but there is no real substitute for quality gear. My home made ice locks work fine but they do have their flaws and require some maintenance. The stainless steel one I use here did cost a lot but it's maintenance free, never fails and easy to use. The store bought ratchets work 100 times better than something like the 2-ring device and there really is no excuse as they are cheap and easy to use.

The time variance is not really an issue, if I can warm it with body heat it will release faster, sometimes as fast as 10-15 minutes but if it's inside the tube I can't reach it anyway so it's more constant. Sometimes (around once every 20 times is my guess) it just does not freeze properly and the ice is fragile so it snaps loose as soon as I put some stress on it. I'd rather have it that way and try again another day than being stuck because it does not release at all.

You should definitely get more of your video's uploaded, I'm still willing to help out with tips or I can do some cutting/editing for you. Try to streamline the process, I can set everything up (room, ligths, camera, get dressed, ...) , do a one hour scenario, clean everything up and load the footage in my laptop for editing in less than 3 hours total, so that's the time I need to shoot a session. It used to take longer but shaving a few minutes left and right every time gets you there. I can do a quick session with no camera in an hour or so but I like to review my bondage and of course practice for proper shooting.

Oh yeah... Happened quite a few times. I set up everything, tested, but then the flash did not fire. Or the batteries died. Or sweat/water got inside the remote control...

Usually it's 2-3 hour preparation, 1-2 hour session, 2-3 hour cleaning up and one days or post-processing and publishing. That's two days. This is how all the fun/mood is killed...
